New England Painting & Contracting

New England Painting & Contracting paints houses and does a lot of kitchens and bathrooms. Customers keep naming Larry Gamst, who founded the Melrose company, and its written Google record runs from 2021 to 2026. The painting work leans toward old houses. In September 2023 reviews, customers described the crew stripping old wallpaper from horsehair plaster walls, smoothing and painting them, and repairing plaster in a Victorian living room. A September 2025 reviewer had wood siding repaired and repainted and decaying trim and columns restored. It remodels too. A December 2025 reviewer said a kitchen renovation, from new hardwood floors to plumbing, finished on schedule and within budget. A November 2023 reviewer who had thought about swapping a tub for a walk-in shower went with a full main bathroom renovation and added a shower to a basement half bath, and an August 2024 reviewer had a three-season porch converted into a finished room. On price, a December 2023 reviewer called it a tad high but worth it, and a December 2024 reviewer said the quote was slightly lower than others. Its Massachusetts home improvement contractor registration (#205837) is active on the state registry. The BBB grades it A+.
