Eleven at night on Christmas Eve 2024, a customer called No Leaks Plumbing and wrote that Charles was at the door in under 20 minutes. Most of the jobs people describe have that shape: a basement filling with water, a water heater that just died, and the owner, Charles Ferguson, picking up the phone. The North Easton company works Easton, Brockton, Stoughton, Mansfield and out to Boston, Wellesley and Weston by its own account, says it has been at this 20 years, and holds 4.9 across 77 Google ratings. Ferguson's Massachusetts plumber licence, 35636-PL-J, is active.
Three of these accounts begin on a Sunday. One from May 2026 describes a basement leak with a shut-off valve that would not close and water squirting everywhere, with Charles there within the hour; another, also May 2026, a 6:30 Sunday-morning call and a leak completely fixed within two hours. In January 2026, a homeowner who came back from a trip to a freezing house after days without heat called on a Sunday as well.
Saturday nights turn up twice. A March 2026 caller with a supply line leaking under a second-floor kitchen faucet, down through the first floor and into the basement, phoned at 9pm and had him there first thing in the morning; a January 2026 caller, ahead of a big snowstorm, wrote that Charlie diagnosed the problem within ten seconds of walking in and then taught them how to keep it from happening again. A November 2025 reviewer had a leak near a bathroom sink in Taunton fixed the day before Thanksgiving.
Water heaters are the other constant. A ruptured hot water tank at an apartment was handled on a weekend in February 2026, at what that reviewer called a reasonable price, especially for Boston prices. In April 2026 a caller in a panic was talked through shutting the water off and had the heater replaced the same day, and a February 2026 Thumbtack reviewer's leaking heater was taken out, replaced and the old one cleaned up. Bigger work is in there too: in an April 2026 review, the owner of a five-family house in Dedham described Charlie and his crew replacing all the old cast iron pipes, and a May 2025 reviewer said a severe emergency at their 96-year-old mother's home was resolved within the day.
One account runs the other way, and it is specific. In March 2025, a customer wrote that they were charged $1,400 to change a gas valve in a water heater that did not need to be changed, that he became aggressive and angry when confronted, and that their water heater was still broken. Several other reviewers volunteer the opposite about price — "very affordable" in November 2025, and one in April 2025 who wrote that he is not trying to rip you off price wise.
For a burst pipe, a dead water heater or a leak at an hour when nobody else picks up, this is what the shop is built for. Agree the price of a specific part before it goes in, and for a repipe or a building-wide job, ask who is on the crew — two 2026 reviewers mention a crew, and two 2025 accounts name an assistant, Benny — and how long it will take.
