Oliver Construction Inc is a Lowell, Massachusetts contractor best known for drywall and plaster work, run by Diego Oliveira, whose Massachusetts home improvement contractor registration, number 213157, is verified active with the state registry in the company's own name. Its Google page carries 4.8 stars from 71 ratings and the Better Business Bureau grades it A+. The recurring themes in what customers write are speed, price and clean sites. In March 2026 a homeowner describes a large kitchen and living-room plastering job the crew started right after quoting, finishing with floors and walls left immaculate; another that month says a bathroom renovation came in on time, on budget and exactly as written in the contract. In a 2024 review a homeowner who called for a drywall quote said the crew found extensive rotted framing during demolition, repaired it, and left walls "smooth as glass" for a reasonable price. Reviewers in 2022 repeatedly mentioned the lowest quote they had received, a team assembled inside a week, drop cloths down and daily cleanup. The work described stretches well past drywall. Reviewers have credited the company with bathroom and kitchen remodels, an ADU project in December 2025, a basement finished in a single day, composite decking replacing 38-year-old pressure-treated boards with the railings and lattice repainted in May 2025, and a flood-damaged home restored with ceiling tiles, insulation, blue-board and plaster. Three accounts push the other way and they concern reliability rather than craftsmanship. In April 2026 a customer says the company arrives late, rarely answers the phone, and added extra costs at the end of the project without notice. In June 2023 another described a 7:30am appointment that was rescheduled at 9:15 with no earlier warning, calling it a waste of time. The company's BBB profile also carries an undated review accusing the owner of taking payment for materials, then not appearing for two months and asking for more money. Nothing in the record shows how any of these were resolved. It is also worth reading the reviews rather than the count: a large share of the five-star entries are a single line ("Great work", "They are the best", "Really good service!"), so the detailed accounts are a smaller set than 71 ratings suggests. Oliver is a sensible call for a Lowell-area plaster, drywall or remodel job where price and turnaround matter — with the payment schedule, the change-order process and the start date written into the contract before work begins.
I do not recommend this business, they always arrive late, rarely answer the phone and add something extra costs at end of our project without inform us previously
Diego and his crew did an amazing job. After giving us a quote, they were available right away to complete the large plastering job in my kitchen and living room. The crew did such an amazing job keeping everything clean, the plastering job was perfect and when they were done you couldn’t even tell they had been there, the floors and walls were immaculate. Timely and excellent service, I couldn’t be happier!
The team did amazing work. They were incredibly communicative and delivered the bathroom renovation exactly as promised in the contract. On time, on budget, and with great results. Will definitely use again.
