OneLife Movers is Tuere Barnes and — depending on which page you read — one or two other pairs of hands. The business is run out of Methuen as Barnes OneLife LLC, started after the owner spent three years delivering for Amazon, and has been hired 361 times through Thumbtack, where it holds a 4.9 across 265 ratings and Top Pro status for both 2024 and 2025. The jobs customers describe are the awkward ones. A contractor writing in April 2026 hired Ray and his team to carry a double vanity with a quartz top still attached up a difficult staircase, and made a point of saying he is fussy about who he puts in front of his own customers. Another customer that month watched the crew stop and work out how to get a tricky piece through rather than force it, with no damage to the furniture or the house. In March 2026 someone wanting a few things shifted found same-day availability; another the same month had a piece of furniture assembled once it was in place. Repeat business shows up too — a May 2026 reviewer was on their second heavy-moving job with the company. A few practical things. Thumbtack sets a $250 minimum for most moving jobs, and the profile is currently marked unavailable for furniture moving, so check before planning around them. The Thumbtack breakdown is 95% five-star with 3% at one star, so a small share of jobs have not gone well. And the BBB, which grades the business A+ without accrediting it, lists a single employee — for a whole-apartment move, ask how many people are actually turning up. For heavy single items, appliance moves, deliveries and small local jobs, this is a heavily-used and well-rated small operator. For a full-house move, pin down crew size and truck before you book.

This was my second time hiring One Life for a household heavy moving task. Thru were responsive and thoughtful about doing a good job.

The guys did a great job! They were efficient, polite and when one piece got a little tricky to move they problem solved in a way that made sure there was no damage to my furniture or house. I would definitely use them again.

As a contractor - I am very picky about the people I hire to work for my customers - and so, when I needed a mover to carry a large and very heavy double-vanity with a quartz top attached …up a challenging staircase…I chose Ray and his team - and I can honestly say that they were GREAT! They showed up on time and went over and above the call of duty … even attaching the legs before leaving. They were a five star moving team and I would definitely use them again!!

I had the absolute best experience with Barnes OneLife! The team went above and beyond to help and exceeded my expectations. They were on time, professional, and completed the move very fast. They even went beyond expectations and helped set up a piece of furniture for me. I would highly recommend and personally will use again! Thank you!
