An A+ Better Business Bureau rating and 34 years in business — Orcutt Painting Company has been a fixture in Wakefield since 1992, run by President Rick Orcutt with a crew of around 11. The Boston Globe called on Rick for a quote about seasonal painting demand in 2016, treating him as a local voice worth asking. The written record beyond that is thin and dated: three Houzz reviews, all five stars, all from 2013 and 2014. In them, homeowners describe interior repaints and wallpaper removal, with Rick giving practical advice — one reviewer recalled him suggesting the hallway be repainted after a move to dodge scuff marks from movers, then stopping by several times to check the work. Another mentioned "tricky patching" handled cleanly as part of a full interior repaint. There's nothing recent to weigh against that older written record — no reviews in over a decade, and no complaint count or service-area list published on the company's BBB page. Anyone considering Orcutt Painting now would do well to ask for references from current jobs rather than relying on reviews from over ten years ago. For an interior repaint from an established, long-running Wakefield outfit, the older record is solidly positive; just confirm current availability and get a fresh reference before booking.

“Spring and summer are the busiest because new homeowners need painting before they move in, so fall and winter have the most availability, said Rick Orcutt of Orcutt Painting Co. in Wakefield.”
Painted most of the interior of my house and remove wall paper. Very professional, punctual and respectful. The crew is very clean.
Hired them to do the entire interior of our home. They did a wonderful job, including some tricky patching. The owner is very professional and consistently keeps you updated on the progress of the project.
Before moving into a newly purchased house we wanted many rooms painted. Orcutt Painting did an excellent job. The owner gave me several good suggestions (such as having the hallway paint done after the move to avoid possible scuff marks by movers). The owner, Rick provided the written estimate, and came to inspect the work several times during the project. The painters were respectful and showed up on time. Everything went like clock work and we were very happy with the quality job. We will have Orcutt come back to do future painting.
