Orion Tree Service says it has helped homeowners and businesses throughout the Oyster River and Seacoast areas with tree care for over 28 years. Its website lists a service area of Dover, Somersworth, Barrington, Rochester, Epping, Raymond, Fremont, Kingston, Greenland, Newington and Portsmouth, offers free estimates and 24/7 emergency service, and says the company is insured. On its BBB profile, the company describes its work as cabling, pruning, removal and stump grinding. A recent Google review describes a big maple that Jon and his crew pruned and trimmed the previous fall, when the leaves were down; now that it has leafed out, the customer says it "looks awesome" and that the clean up was great. In a 2024 review, a customer wrote that John was on site with one of his colleagues to "cable" a trio of oaks that were causing concern, and called his estimate very fair. In another 2024 review, a customer wrote that Jon gave a written estimate on the spot after going through the scope of work on site, and that the project was completed on a timeline much quicker than they had anticipated. In a 2020 review, a customer described John and his crew pruning several very large branches, removing many small trees and one large tree, and grinding stumps; that customer wrote that the work took about 3 hours and that the price was very fair. In a 2019 review, a customer wrote that they had 7 trees taken down over the years, because of wind damage or as a preventative measure, and that Orion's crews took care to minimize their impact on the property.
