Orkin's Woburn branch is the local face of a very old national company — the company's own site dates the brand to 1901 and claims more than 125 years in pest control — running residential and commercial pest, termite, mosquito and rodent work out of 25 Olympia Ave. The Google file is small: six ratings averaging 4.3, five of them written reviews, and all of them from this year. Four are warm and name the technician rather than the company. A property manager at the Hampton Inn Boston/Braintree wrote in July about monthly inspections with a tech named Danilson — punctual, thorough, walks the property, explains what he found. Two others describe the same pattern in fewer words: the tech showed up on time, explained the treatment, worked carefully. The one complaint, also from July, is the more useful read. A customer on a rodent job said the technician used less material than the job called for — fewer traps and glue boards — and left holes unsealed, and felt he gave better attention to customers who shared his language. Five reviews is not a track record, so treat the pattern as provisional: the recurring praise here is for individual technicians, not for a system, and the one bad experience was about exactly that — which tech shows up. Ask who will be assigned to your account and whether it's the same person each visit, get the number of traps, bait stations and sealed entry points written into the service plan, and confirm what the money-back guarantee actually covers before signing a recurring contract.

The Orkin guy who came to treat the rodent is not detailed oriented. He has a tendency to put less material (traps, glue thing) and miss lot of holes. He makes relationships with customers who are from his own country and who speaks same language.

What does pest control cost in Greater Boston?
Typical Greater Boston range for this kind of work, from regional averages — not a quote from Orkin. Use it to sanity-check bids, then get the real number in writing.
Scales rodent, ant, and termite jobs; bed bugs scale by room count instead.
Estimated range
$130 – $340
Typical treatment around $240
