Oscar and Sons Landscaping

Call Oscar and the estimate tends to arrive the same day. A June 2024 Angi customer got a price at 10 in the morning and had a large thorny shrub gone by 3:30 that afternoon; a May 2024 customer said he came within an hour of the call and the work was done the next day. Oscar and Sons is a Lynn crew its own site describes as owner-operated, working across the North Shore from Salem and Beverly out to Gloucester. The jobs split into two halves. On the yard side it is cleanups and overgrowth: a July 2025 reviewer had the front, back and sides cleared when all of it was thick with weeds, and an April 2024 customer got mulch laid and the yard cleared of debris and leaves. On the build side the work gets heavier — a September 2024 reviewer described four of six steps replaced, the bricks fixed, the side walls repaired and a new hand-railing installed, and a June 2024 customer watched a crew of six put in a post-and-rail fence in a single day. Two customers came away unhappy, and both had hired the company before. A May 2024 reviewer called the $200 price for clearing one overgrown patch too high and said the crew never arrived. In May 2025, a reviewer who described a good relationship with the company said a request for spring cleaning was met with foul language from the owner. On Angi the company holds 4.9 across 49 ratings, with veteran-owned status and five years in the trade listed on that profile as its own statements; on Google the average is 4.6 across 22 ratings. For a North Shore homeowner who wants a yard put back in order, a fence set right or front steps rebuilt, this is a fast-moving, hands-on crew — settle the scope and the price in writing when you accept the quote, and confirm insurance before anyone starts on walls or steps.
