Palacio General Construction is a family-owned general contractor at 145 Pleasant St in Dracut, owner-operated by Walter Palacio, who does the estimates himself. The company says it was founded in 2015 and works across most of Massachusetts and southern New Hampshire, from Lowell and Andover out to Nashua and Salem, on kitchen and bathroom remodels, additions, basement finishing, decks and porches, roofing and commercial work. Its Massachusetts Home Improvement Contractor registration, 184611, is verified active with the state registry. The track record is unusually consistent for a small shop: 35 reviews from 2016 to 2026 across five sources, a 4.9 average from 35 Google ratings and 4.9 from 14 on HomeAdvisor, plus 71 permitted projects on BuildZoom with about 20 in the last three years at a typical permit value near $12,092. Two things come up again and again. The first is the estimate. A homeowner who compared several companies for a small bathroom remodel in 2024 said Palacio's quote was the most thorough, walking through each step, and a 2023 reviewer singled out knowing all the costs up front after being burned by mid-job price changes elsewhere. The second is that Walter stays reachable — reviewers from a 2025 addition on a nearly century-old house and a 2025 kitchen remodel both describe being kept current through design, permits and construction, and that kitchen job finished slightly early. They also get called in to fix other people's work. A 2016 homeowner hired them to finish a kitchen renovation their original contractor had abandoned, including repairing shoddy work already done; in 2021 another had them solve deck water leaking into a garage after two previous contractors failed, a job spanning roofing, decking, electrical, painting and masonry. A 2016 account describes them saving a sagging addition by jacking it level rather than tearing it out. The one recent sour note is worth asking about directly. In July 2026 someone who requested a quote wrote that Palacio set a date and then never showed up and never called. That is a first-contact complaint rather than a workmanship one, but it is the newest thing on file. If you want a Dracut-area contractor for a bathroom or kitchen remodel or an addition, this is a strong shortlist candidate with a decade of specific, corroborated results. Pin down the appointment for your estimate in writing, and ask about the Construction Supervisor licence CS-109837 the company self-reports, since only the Home Improvement Contractor registration is registry-confirmed.

We had Palacio Construction complete a full master bathroom remodel. Walter was great to work with throughout the entire project—he was responsive, professional, and easy to communicate with. Anytime an issue came up, he addressed it quickly and made sure it was resolved. We would definitely recommend Palacio Construction to anyone looking for a reliable remodeling contractor.

Didn't even make it in the door! I asked for a quote; they reached out with a date for the quote and never showed up; never called. All set!

We had Walter and his crew make a laundry room off the kitchen for us. And I love it absolutely beautiful. His guys are very good at what they do and the clean up is amazing. Everything went so smooth. Very good experience I most certainly would recommend them. And if I need any more work done they will be called upon. Thank all of you for your professionalism. Amazing crew.

We had an addition added to our home that is almost 100 years old. Palacio GC was wonderful to work with through the whole process, design, permits and construction. Their team made the process easy, understood our goals and they were transparent through the entire build. The results are beautiful and high quality even for a small moderate addition. People walking by keep saying it’s looks like it has been part of the house the entire time. Great people to work with and beautiful results!

Walter and his crew did a great job with our kitchen remodel. Walter was knowledgeable and responsive. People came when scheduled and were all courteous and professional. In fact the project finished a bit early. We are very pleased with the results.
