Palmer & Sicard came to repair my A/C unit. They ordered repair parts to fix it,as it was struck by lightening. The technician advised us after the the repair was done that it did not work. He still charged for repair. Quote a new unit for over 16k. So total bill was over 18 k. State Farm came out after new unit was installed; the expert said it was repairable. The HVAC company would need to write an appeal as to why the repair did not work; Palmer & Sicard refused to write an appeal. According to Sean , their insurance company advised them not to. I would never trust this company. They don’t care about customers. They advised me they don’t work with insurance companies. They refused to write any kind of appeal which State Farm offers to review.
This company is poorly managed. The leadership team operates with inflated egos and little regard for the people actually doing the work. And let me guess Marc is probably still planted in that office chair as usual. I definitely wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone new entering the trade.
I’ve had two nearly identical bad experiences with Palmer & Sicard that feel like the same scam repeated. They came out, told me nothing was wrong, and still billed me for the visit. I had to call them back, and they charged me again for the second visit at the same rate. The same thing happened a second time — only this time they told me the issue was covered under warranty, but I was still billed. When I disputed these charges directly with Palmer & Sicard, instead of resolving the matter, they sent my account to collections. The collection agency’s “final notice” letters were full of empty threats and unprofessional pressure tactics. Business owners should be aware of how Palmer & Sicard handles disputes: rather than standing behind their work or honoring warranty claims, they double-bill and send you to collections if you push back.
They sounded bored when my office called for help. I think they just do construction and some side service work
Great company to work with!
