Paolillo's Bathroom Remodeling Company describes itself on its Houzz profile as licensed and insured bathroom remodeling contractors performing complete bathroom remodels, from gutting the existing bathroom down to the studs through plumbing and electrical services, carpentry, plastering, tiling and fixture installation. In its own description on its Better Business Bureau listing, it says it is RRP Certified for safe lead renovation practices. It holds an A+ grade from the Better Business Bureau. In a 2015 Houzz review, a homeowner described a full downstairs bath remodel including demolition, plumbing, electrical, tile and fixture installation. Jim brought the 1960's bathroom up to code and worked with the town to get all the necessary permits and inspections. Another 2015 review described Jim and his team gutting and replacing a family bathroom in a 30 year old Colonial reproduction. That homeowner said Jim kept to the agreed schedule, was on the job site every day, finished the first bathroom on time and on budget, and was then hired to gut and re-build the master bathroom. In a third 2015 review, Jim gutted a master bathroom and moved the shower head to the opposite wall in the new design, which created more room, and was then asked to remodel a second bathroom. A 2016 review was critical: that homeowner called Jim a capable tiler who works at a very slow pace, said he appeared overwhelmed by a small bathroom remodel, and said he was refusing to fix a constant leak in the shower.
I should have listened to "my gut" with this contractor and walked away. He is a nice person who has a difficult time listening and working with the customer. Jim is a capable tiler but works at a very slow pace. He appeared overwhelmed by my small bathroom remodel and is now refusing to fix a constant leak in my shower. Not a good sign when your contractor tell you to, " contact the valve manufacturers customer service and tell them that you have a rain head shower head and handheld that drips out of the handheld and ask them how it can be fixed!"
We hired Jim to gut out the entire bathroom in the master bedroom and to change the layout if possible to give us more room. In the new design he moved the shower head to the opposite wall which created more room. He arrived promptly everyday to begin work. He is highly professional and courteous. He has great and friendly team that worked with him. He did great job that we asked him to remodel a second bathroom.and he did. I highly recommend him.
We have really enjoyed working with Jim, and we strongly recommend him for bathroom construction. We have a 30 year old Colonial reproduction which had the original fiberglass surround bathrooms on the second floor (family bath and master bath). Jim and his team gutted and replaced the family bathroom and he is in the process of gutting the master bathroom. Our experience with Jim has been extraordinarily positive. He was very professional and responsive throughout the bidding process. Jim’s price was very competitive, his body of work was impressive, his references checked out, and he had a positive professional approach. Based on that information, we believed that he would be a good choice, and we have not been disappointed. We agreed with Jim on a general schedule including a start date and a targeted completion date, and Jim kept to the schedule. He was on the job site every day, and worked closely with his subcontractors. Jim’s subcontractors were uniformly high quality as well. After Jim finished the first bathroom on time and on budget, we were so pleased with his work that we hired him to gut and re-build our master bathroom. We would recommend him with reservation.
Full downstairs bath remodel including demolition, plumbing, electrical, tile and fixture installation. Jim was able to bring my 1960's bathroom up to code. He worked with the town to get all the necessary permits and inspections. Jim and his work crew were all very friendly, courteous, honest, and hard working. Jim was also great with my dogs. He always kept them in mind during the remodel making sure they were okay. Overall, a pleasure to work with and I would hire him again in a heart beat!
