Paul Fischer takes cabinet doors off their hinges and out of the house. A June 2026 customer described every door from a 1990s kitchen going off-site to be prepped and sprayed with high-quality paint. Cabinets are a large part of what this Westford painter gets hired for: the company's site lists interior and exterior painting, cabinet painting, refinishing and refacing, and custom cabinet building, working across Westford, Acton, Carlisle, Groton, Littleton and Chelmsford. It is a small operation. The Better Business Bureau profile lists a sole proprietorship run by Paul Fischer with one employee, graded A+ though not accredited. His Massachusetts home improvement contractor registration, #215916, is active on the state registry in his own name. Twenty-six written reviews from 2023 into 2026 sit behind a 5-star Google average across 27 ratings, and several of them land on the same thing: how little mess he leaves. One 2023 customer had hallways and a guest room with very high ceilings painted over about a week and found no paint splatter on any carpet or hardwood floor. A 2024 reviewer hired him twice, first to patch and paint a bathroom wall after a valve swap, then for the master bedroom. The quotes hold up. A May 2026 homeowner said the job came in exactly as estimated; a 2023 review described work finished on time and within budget; and in a March 2025 review, a homeowner said Paul suggested changes based on how he would handle his own house, some of which brought the cost down. When a kitchen's new cabinets had to be installed before he could finish, a March 2026 reviewer said he came back and wrapped up in good time. The work ranges past walls. A 2024 review covers exterior trim; a 2023 one, a 900-square-foot basement painted after a flood, color consultation included; a February 2026 customer described a rear deck and front porch, both mahogany, refinished the previous summer; a March 2025 reviewer had him build and paint a board-and-batten wall he designed for a room. A 2023 reviewer had him paint and refinish wood at a Melting Pot restaurant. For an interior repaint, a cabinet job or an exterior, from someone who works quietly and cleans up, he is a straightforward call. Settle the schedule and put the scope in writing before you book, and ask which parts of a job touching other trades he handles himself.
We could not be happier with Paul’s work. The finished product is excellent, and there were no surprises. Paul provides honest pricing and schedules. We highly recommend Paul!
Paul recently transformed our kitchen by painting our 90s wood cabinets, and he surpassed our expectations with the quality of his work and attention to detail. Paul carefully took every cabinet door off-site to prep and spray them with high-quality paint, then painted the rest of the kitchen. The painted cabinets have completely updated our space and breathed new life into our kitchen. The final product truly looks and feels factory-finished, brand new. It’s already been two months, and there’s not a single chip or scratch, and that’s with two teens and two large dogs in the house. Furthermore, he communicated every step of the way and offered valuable suggestions; it was just a pleasure to work with him. Highly recommend!!
Paul and team did great work. Prep work and attention to detail resulted in a final product we’re really happy with. Would hire Paul again for future jobs.
Paul is a great local painter! He was professional and efficient. He completed our job exactly as estimated and exceeded expectations.
Paul did an outstanding job painting the entire interior of our home, delivering high-quality results from start to finish. He has a keen eye for detail, ensuring clean lines and a polished, professional look in every room. Beyond the painting itself, he was incredibly helpful in pointing out other issues we hadn’t noticed, which we really appreciated. I would absolutely recommend Paul to anyone looking for reliable, thorough, and skilled work.
