Penny Oil Energy Distributors delivers home heating oil. A 2022 customer said the oil arrived on Monday after an order placed Saturday, and that when the backyard gate was frozen shut, Eddie tried to help get it open and then climbed the fence so the delivery could be made. A 2023 customer said the delivery was quick and the price was low. A 2023 customer said the driver showed up on delivery day and left because they were not home, and that when the delivery was rescheduled the company no longer accepted checks and would not honor the price they had locked in. A 2022 customer said the driver left without contacting anyone when their elderly mother could not get to the door within the one minute the driver waited, leaving her without oil, and said the woman they then reached at the company was rude. The company carries an A+ grade from the Better Business Bureau and 3.9 stars from 27 Google ratings.
Quick delivery and lowest price.
Not impressed with the customer service. I set up a delivery and stated that I would be leaving a blank check for payment and I was told that was okay but if it bounces, it’s a $99 fee which i agreed to. Come the day of delivery, the driver showed up and left because I wasn’t home. Got a call later to reschedule…now they don’t accept checks and the price I initially locked in wasn’t going to be honored. Plenty of other oil companies around that have better customer service & communication.
Worst oil company! My elderly mother couldn't get to door within the exact one minute the driver waited so they left without contacting anyone and left mother without oil. When I contacted the company the lady was extremely rude and could care less about my mother's situation. Terrible customer service with a poor attitude! DONT DO BUSINESS!
I used Cashheatingoil.com and they directed me to Penny. Order was placed on Saturday and they came Monday. The gate to my backyard was frozen shut and Eddie did everything he could to help me get it open. When we couldn’t, he didn’t just leave, he decided to go up over the top. The man climbed a fence to make sure we got our oil. Very appreciative.
