When Bennington Theater needed a painting contractor for its facade improvements project, it chose Phippen Painting, LLC, and said the job was completed ahead of schedule. The theater wrote that Stephen responded promptly from the first phone call and gave a clear, detailed quote. On Google, the company shows 5 stars from 10 ratings. A customer whose south-facing front porch gets no shade at any time of day said Steve and crew were responsive, careful and thorough, and that the cost was fair considering what they expected. One customer hired the company to stain the exterior of a two-story garage, then hired Stephen to paint all of the exterior trim on the home and stain the deck beams and posts. A customer who had Stephen and his painting crew paint an interior ceiling said cracks had to be dealt with before the finished coats, and that Stephen knew how to remedy staining down the sides of the skylights, with no wall staining since. For that customer's exterior trim, they power washed first, returned early the next day to paint, and put plastic up to protect the windows and siding. Scoops By The Dozen hired the company for an external facelift of its ice cream shop and said Steve explained the entire process and timeline, with an estimate that was right on the money. A customer who hired the company to paint the exterior dormers said the quote was spot on with no hidden cost. A customer whose home exterior and other structures were painted said Steve spent several weeks with them, and they cleaned up each day.
