What it does have is checkable — Massachusetts home improvement contractor registration 189459 is active on the state registry in the company's own name, and BBB has accredited the firm since November 2017 with an A+ grade. Molly Pidgeon owns it. BBB records the business as started on November 28, 2013 as an S corporation doing construction management, design-build and interior design for commercial customers, and a 2025 Connect CRE profile credits her with growing it into a practice that has delivered commercial interiors, healthcare facilities, higher education spaces and boutique retail and restaurant work. A February 2018 trade item covered the launch of Pidgeon & Company in Malden, with her interior design brand House of Dietrich folded under the same umbrella — a name BBB still carries as an alternate. In a March 2022 New England Real Estate Journal piece, the firm's general manager described being proud to work for "a strong WBE lead by Molly Pidgeon" and managing procurement on a major project in Chelsea. The single review is worth reading carefully, because it isn't a homeowner's. It's an undated one-liner on BBB from a reviewer named Andrew L, addressed to other subcontractors and telling them to beware. Nothing in it describes a project or an outcome, and there is no second account to weigh it against — a flag to ask about rather than a verdict. Two figures also don't line up: BBB lists six employees, while the 2025 Connect CRE profile says over 15 team members. BBB describes the client base as commercial, and everything named publicly is corporate, institutional or healthcare rather than kitchens and baths.
