Pisano's Odd Jobs and Appliances is a Mendon handyman business run by Richard Pisano. BBB lists it as a handyman business and says it has been operating for 36 years; HomeAdvisor describes it as family-owned, with 29 years of experience, emergency service, free estimates and warranties. Its work spans small home repairs, appliance installation and general household projects. The dated HomeAdvisor reviews are mostly positive. Homeowners describe timely replies, clear scheduling, polite and professional work, appliance and gas-dryer installation, tree-branch removal, flooring repair, fencing and punch-list work. In a 2016 review, one customer said Pisano responded within minutes, arrived on time and was knowledgeable while connecting a gas dryer; another said he completed most of a punch list after providing a quote. The written history runs from 2012 through 2023, while HomeAdvisor reports 4.2 stars from 32 ratings. There are also specific cautions to discuss before booking. A 2018 one-star review says subcontracted work was left half done and that follow-up became difficult; a separate 2018 reviewer reported not receiving a response to a cleaning request. A 2017 reviewer found the price reasonable and the effort strong but cited communication problems. Those accounts are old, but they make the scope of subcontracting, the point of contact and the completion plan worth confirming in writing. This is a fit for homeowners looking for a broad handyman or appliance task and willing to define the job clearly. Confirm who will perform each part, how follow-up works, and whether the current license status and estimate cover the specific project.
Typical Greater Boston range for this kind of work, from regional averages — not a quote from Pisano's Odd Jobs and Appliances. Use it to sanity-check bids, then get the real number in writing.
A day rate replaces the task list — usually the better deal once the list gets long.

He can fix many things
He was polite.
I wasn't going to be home but when he said he was coming that day and that was completely fine. He was very nice and removed the branch that I needed removed and cut the branch up so we could give it to my daughter-in-law for firewood. He also seemed to have removed another branch that might have been dead. He was a kind man and I would highly recommend.
This was the first time I called him - he's a delightful man and does many jobs well, but is quick to hand off jobs he doesn't want to subcontractors who do not answer to him. They also do good work but know how to leave a job half done and then don't answer their phones. He also is impossible to contact once he has worked for you, He may be a genius who requires variety, because he also did come plumbing (2nd time I called him) etc., but his email box AND voicemails filled up and there was no contacting him after that. I noticed many of his latest reviews were poor while his previous reviews were all 5 stars - he may have had a family or health problem and need to rebuild his business. What he did, he did well, but I wouldn't call him again without knowing more.
I sent a text to this company indicating that i needed cleaning services and never heard back from them (despite me stating in my text the importance of me hearing back immediately).
