Pisano's Odd Jobs and Appliances is a Mendon, Massachusetts handyman business run by Richard "Rick" Pisano, who has held an active Massachusetts trade license (#148664, expiring March 2027) and been in business 36 years. Reviewers, spanning 2012 through 2023 across Angi and HomeAdvisor, consistently describe Rick as skilled and versatile with appliance and repair work: connecting and installing gas dryers, fixing and installing dishwashers, recycling old appliances, replacing a full floor after a serious water heater leak in a 2016 review, and handling smaller jobs like doors and yard branch removal. Several reviewers from 2012 through 2016 specifically praised his promptness, quick quote turnaround, and communication by email and phone. A cluster of reviews from 2017 and 2018 is worth asking about before booking: a 1-star review and two 0.5-star reviews describe Rick becoming difficult to reach by phone or text after being hired or paid. In a response to one of these reviews, Rick attributed the lapse to a serious personal illness and a family death during that period. A separate 2013 review reported a door repair that broke again the next day. Given the strong and specific praise for his craftsmanship spanning over a decade, alongside a real but time-bounded pattern of post-payment unresponsiveness, homeowners considering Pisano's should confirm current availability and communication expectations up front.

He can fix many things
He was polite.
I wasn't going to be home but when he said he was coming that day and that was completely fine. He was very nice and removed the branch that I needed removed and cut the branch up so we could give it to my daughter-in-law for firewood. He also seemed to have removed another branch that might have been dead. He was a kind man and I would highly recommend.
This was the first time I called him - he's a delightful man and does many jobs well, but is quick to hand off jobs he doesn't want to subcontractors who do not answer to him. They also do good work but know how to leave a job half done and then don't answer their phones. He also is impossible to contact once he has worked for you. He may be a genius who requires variety, because he also did come plumbing (2nd time I called him), but his email box AND voicemails filled up and there was no contacting him after that.
I sent a text to this company indicating that i needed cleaning services and never heard back from them (despite me stating in my text the importance of me hearing back immediately).
