Five hours to take down an old shed and fence, with the area raked clean afterwards — that is the kind of job PJ's Construction and Excavation gets called for. It is a one-person Woburn operation under Paul Stasio Jr, six years old by the company's own count, and the work is dirt and demolition rather than remodeling: excavation, land leveling and grading, land clearing, demolition, and fence and gate installation. Speed and cleanup are what its recent customers keep landing on. A March client had a shed and fence pulled out in one five-hour visit and the ground tidied after. In February, a partial indoor-and-outdoor demolition client said the house was left so clean they could not tell anyone had been there. The credentials are modest and plainly stated. Thumbtack shows it as a current Top Pro, with a background check on Stasio completed in October 2024 and 4.9 from 10 ratings across 8 hires. His profile describes 15 years in the Union doing excavation, gas, water and sewer work — his own account, not something confirmed here. Two things to weigh. Ten ratings on a single platform is a shallow history to judge from, and the profile lists one employee, so a large or time-critical dig rides on one person's schedule. A sensible call for a shed teardown, a hot-tub or shed pad, or a grading job around Woburn where a fast in-and-out and a clean site matter most. Confirm insurance and whatever licensing the specific work requires before anyone starts.

Paul was amazingly thorough and responsive to all my questions along the way. We needed a level pad for our hot tub and he went above and beyond and gave good feedback/ advice on how to finish it (stamp the concrete) and his attentiveness to my anxiety about the project was lessoned by his knowledge of what needed to be done. I highly recommend Paul for his services and will def be calling him in the future! Details: Less than 1 - Slightly sloped - Flat - No obstructions - Yes, I will need the professional to haul any excess soil or debris - Residential (Land Leveling and Grading)

Paul was great. He and his crew came in the rain to get the ground leveled for a swing set install. He kept me updated throughout the whole process. I couldn't recommend more. He was punctual, courteous, and offered incredible responsiveness. The quality of work was exactly what I was looking for. My job was to have a shed demolition, debris removal, and have the area excavated. I also asked for a concrete slab to be put down for my new resin shed. Excellent job, Paul, THANKS! Details: Outdoor - Total demolition - Garage, shed, or barn - Residential (Demolition Services)

Typical Greater Boston range for this kind of work, from regional averages — not a quote from Pj's Construction And Excavation Llc. Use it to sanity-check bids, then get the real number in writing.
Walk the line and pace it off — a pace is about 3 feet.
