Platinum Home Services is listed in Brookline, Massachusetts, and the state registry shows an active Massachusetts HVAC license, number 308-SM-B, held by Platinum Home Services Inc. The public customer record is small: Google shows 3.0 stars from four ratings and two written reviews from February 2024 and October 2025. One reviewer described an on-time visit that diagnosed and replaced both a capacitor and a fan motor, leaving the heating system working well. A second reviewer reported a serious communication and conduct problem while trying to learn what equipment would be installed, including repeated unanswered questions and raised voices. These two accounts produce a sharply divided record rather than a reliable broad consensus. Before booking, confirm the proposed equipment brand and model in writing, who will perform the installation, the diagnostic and refund terms, and how complaints are escalated. Verify the active license against the exact legal entity and confirm the written scope, warranty, and follow-up process. Platinum may merit comparison for HVAC work, but the limited review history and detailed communication complaint make those checks essential.
Terrible people skills. I called for information on what unit would be installed in my home and the woman would not answer my question. It took several attempts at asking for the type of unit and each time she would continue to raise her voice. I finally gave examples of brands and she shout Wilmington Wilmington Wilmington. She then proceeded to bring sex into the matter, excusing that I only wanted to speak to the contractor because she was a woman. Not sure if she knows this but a woman could also be a contractor.
They were on time and knew what they were doing. Don't know if there is a better way to say that they met or beat my expectations. A service company is based on how they provide the service and they did an awesome job .They diagnosed the issue to be either the capacitor (little thing) shown here or a motor to my fan heating system. It turned out it was both, which they replace both and the system is working outstanding!
