Pope Cabinets and Closets is a Gloucester, Massachusetts custom cabinet and millwork shop, and customers say they plan to call it for the next job. The company says it was established in 1975 by Jonathon Pope and has been under the ownership of Jason Hammer since 2015; its website lists kitchens, bathrooms, vanities, built-ins and mudroom and workspace furniture for homeowners, contractors, architects and interior designers. It has 5 stars from 6 ratings on Google and 5.0 from 4 ratings on Houzz. In a June 2026 review, a customer in an older home said Jason retrofitted their kitchen and main bathroom cabinets with new doors and drawers, and praised his attention to detail. A May 2026 customer said the built-ins came out well and planned to have Pope do their next project. A November 2025 reviewer had kitchen cabinets made three years earlier, said Jason customized the design to use every square inch and helped their contractor during installation, and wrote that when the kids broke a drawer slide, Jason came out and replaced it at no cost. In March 2025, a customer told by several other companies that a broken kitchen cabinet could not be matched said Jason and his team fixed it with a perfect match, quickly and at a reasonable price. The Massachusetts construction supervisor licence held by Jason Hammer, CS-094366, shows as expired on the state registry.
