A repaired dryer instead of a replacement purchase: that's what one Power Appliance Services customer described in a July 2023 Thumbtack review. Javid arrived the day the Samsung dryer stopped working, diagnosed it, and offered alternative solutions. The customer said he scheduled the repair that same week and that the dryer was still working well a couple of weeks afterward. Based in Newtonville, Power Appliance Services is listed on Thumbtack for appliance repair, maintenance and installation. Other dated accounts describe refrigerator and washing-machine work. In a June 2023 review, a customer said a quick response led to a visit that day and a Sub-Zero refrigerator fixed within an hour. A separate February 2023 reviewer also praised a Sub-Zero repair and described the owner as punctual and reliable. A June 2024 reviewer said the worker explained the washing-machine problem, ordered a part, and returned to install it after it arrived. Diagnosis and pricing mattered to several customers. A September 2022 reviewer who sought a second opinion from Fred about a GE refrigerator's water dispenser said the diagnosis revealed a different, smaller issue; they praised the response time and price. In March 2023, another customer said Javid's fees matched his estimate even though replacing the part required nearly complete disassembly of the appliance. That reviewer also said he arrived on time. A June 2023 customer reported that a fridge/freezer and dryer had failed on the same day, and said both were working as expected after Javid's work. Another reviewer that month said the worker assessed the problem and restored their machine to working order that day. Thumbtack showed a 4.8-star average from 45 ratings in September 2026 and listed a Top Pro designation for 2023.
