Kitchen cabinet doors leave in a truck and come back sprayed. That off-site cabinet work is what Power Painting Plus's customers describe most often and most vividly — a homeowner writing in March 2024 said 15-year-old doors and fronts came back from their shop like new, and cabinet jobs recur through 2024 and 2025, one September 2025 customer calling the refinished result the reason they were booking a living room next. The Franklin outfit runs on two named people: John and Rick, who turn up in review after review, quoting the job themselves and then coming back to inspect it. A January 2024 customer described the pair arriving after the crew finished, spotting missed areas and sending the painters back. Another, in November 2022, had a difficult antique kitchen that took several return visits, each scheduled around them. A crew does the work, the owners check it — that is the most consistent thing customers describe. Volume backs it up: 4.9 across 151 Google ratings, 5.0 from four Angi reviews, an A+ at the BBB, and 103 written accounts stretching back to 2018. The details repeat — time spent prepping walls, the site cleaned at the end of each day, quotes that come back quickly. A November 2024 reviewer added that they were glad to be supporting what they called a veteran-owned business. The work itself ranges wider than the name suggests: a repaired and repainted bathroom ceiling in January 2026, a shed with a cupola cleaned and painted in December 2024, a porch power-washed and stained in August 2022, interior doors replaced and walls patched in November 2024. The exterior side is where it wobbles, and the newest substantive complaint is about exactly that. In a July 2026 two-star review a homeowner said the company subcontracts exterior work and struggles to manage it: the first subcontractor was fired after poor work, a second crew needed constant prompting on prep, and the job ran about a month. A June 2025 one-star said the painter sent was not a professional, that raising it produced argumentative emails, and that another company was hired to redo the work. A December 2023 one-star describes paint over the tape, prep that did not match the estimate, and a single grouped price that made it hard to tell what had been paid for. Those three are a minority among a hundred-plus positive write-ups, but they rhyme with each other, so take them at face value. Ask who will actually be on your job — the in-house crew or a subcontractor — and get the prep steps itemised rather than bundled into one figure. For interior painting, and especially cabinet refinishing, this is a well-documented choice with years of specific praise behind it.
I used Power Painting Plus after getting multiple quotes. They were priced in the middle. They use subcontractors for exterior work and have a tough time managing them. They fired the first subcontractor after the work was so poor and the sub blew off a meeting with John, Rick and I. They then had a different crew paint my house which I had to constantly ask them to review prep due to so many issues. The end result was acceptable at best and I will have to touch up multiple areas myself. My project took about a month to complete which was not ideal. John and Rick are nice guys but I felt like I was managing the project and not them.

Power Painting plus did a very professional and thorough job in repairing/repainting a bathroom ceiling. They provided an accurate estimate, showed up on time, finished in a reasonable time, and cleaned up thoroughly during the job. Thank you!
