Seventy Google ratings average 5 stars for Precision Design and Build, a builder people hire for additions and whole-room renovations. The company says every project starts with a fully designed, engineered and fixed-price plan before construction begins, and it reports four years in business. One recent Google customer had a second-story addition built that doubled the size of the house, and was in a different country during the renovation. That customer said the company provided daily updates, named Tyler as the one working through any issue, and said people on the block complimented how clean the job site was left every day. A recent kitchen renovation brought new cabinetry, flooring, countertops, lighting, tile work and plumbing, and that customer's secondary bathroom was rebuilt to keep the charm and style of its original 1932 design. Its BBB grade is A+. A 2024 Houzz customer said daily log updates kept them informed through a bedroom addition and bathroom renovation. A 2025 Houzz customer called hiring the company their most expensive mistake. That 2025 customer said the company would not break down the cost of labor and materials, and that the cheapest exterior shingles were used without consulting them, leaving two different colors. The same 2025 customer said the new LVP floor in the gutted basement was uneven, with gaps between the baseboards and the flooring.
I couldn't be happier with the work Precision Design Build completed. From start to finish, the entire team was professional, knowledgeable, and committed to delivering exceptional quality. Their attention to detail, craftsmanship, and communication throughout the project really set them apart. The finished work exceeded my expectations. Everything was completed on time, the job site was kept clean and organized, and it's clear they take pride in every aspect of their work. If you're looking for a contractor who values quality, reliability, and customer satisfaction, I highly recommend Precision Design Build. I wouldn't hesitate to use them again for future projects.
It's hard to put into words the experience with Precision! Tyler is one of the best people I've ever worked with. He truly cares about doing really quality work and will do whatever it takes to make sure the project is perfect. He went above and beyond to make my dream home. Not only the nicest guy but a super talented carpenter. They did a second story addition to my house doubling the size. I was in a different country during the renovation, but the way they operate it felt like I was there for the whole process. They provided daily updates and kept me updated all the time. Jake & Mike on their team worked really hard and are both really talented carpenters it was really awesome to see them work the week I was there. So many people on my block who walked by the house during the renovation complimented how clean they left the job site every day and how quickly and efficiently they worked. Now people are stopping me outside to tell me how beautiful the house looks. The team really thinks of every last detail down to the door knobs. They also take care of everything and provide really great project management. Any issue Tyler was right there figuring out how to navigate it. Marissa did an amazing job helping me design the inside because I couldn't be here and it's perfect. Kevin and Vinny helped me design the addition. They worked extremely hard to make sure we stayed on the timelines at the start and were always there to take my call when I had a million questions in the beginning. I'm so happy with how it turned out and I can't wait to work with them again!
Precision Design & Build recently completed full renovations of our kitchen and secondary bathroom, and we couldn’t be happier with the results. Their team was professional, communicative, and delivered excellent craftsmanship from start to finish. Both spaces received complete updates. The kitchen was fully renovated with new cabinetry, flooring, countertops, lighting, tile work, plumbing, and detailed finish work. The secondary bathroom was rebuilt after a completed demo phase to maintain the charm and style of the original 1932 design while adding modern conveniences. Every detail in both rooms was thoughtfully executed, and the quality truly shows. These renovations have completely transformed our home. The kitchen is brighter, more functional, and modern, while the bathroom blends classic character with fresh, updated comfort. We’re thrilled with the outcome and highly recommend Precision Design & Build for anyone looking for a reliable, detail‑oriented renovation team.
Hiring Precision Design and Build was our most expensive mistake, leading to ongoing financial issues and significant stress. They promised a “full-service experience,” but delivered anything but that. Unfortunately, Precision struggles with organization and lacks the leadership to manage effectively. They consistently chose cheap, easy solutions, showing little regard for quality. We frequently had to ask for updates, receiving vague excuses or blame shifted to subcontractors. The exhaustive list of issues below does not include the complete nightmare we experienced and continue to deal with. We hope this record helps guide others away from working with this company and saves them the stress, financial burden, and disappointment that we have endured. This company operates as a “closed book business,” refusing to break down costs. They didn’t disclose this until after we signed. When we asked for details, they claimed it wouldn’t make sense to provide individual costs, as the total would exceed their scoped quote. While they could quote the entire project down to the penny, they wouldn’t share the actual breakdown of labor and materials for each section. The in-house interior designer was unhelpful and made the process more difficult. We often had to re-email and re-share information, which was frustrating enough to require copying all employees on our correspondence. She pressured us to make decisions on finishing items, like towel racks, without providing designs or renderings, claiming they took too long to create. While finalizing finishes, Marissa informed us that she had miscalculated our choices and that we were over budget. She suggested we switch the countertop, which we had based many decisions on. After researching alternatives for two days, Marissa later emailed to say she mistakenly included taxes in the total cost, revealing we were actually $1,600 under budget. We weren’t consulted on the type of exterior shingles they used; instead, they opted for the cheapest option, leaving us with two different colors. I stopped by one morning to check on the house and found the front door wide open, with no one on-site. The door had been left open by contractors since the previous day and throughout the night. We received an email a week prior to move-in asking when the hood stove would be delivered. At no time were we consulted about this item—neither the dimensions, nor whether it would be vented in or out of the kitchen, nor the proper wattage. Vinny Baldasaro yelled at us over the phone, insisting that it was supposed to be our responsibility, and hung up on us mid-conversation. The basement was gutted to the studs and new LVP was installed. After moving in, we discovered the floor was uneven, with gaps between the baseboards and the LVP. The only solution offered was quarter-inch round trim to hide the gaps. When we raised the issue, Precision suggested using shims and said fixing the flooring wou
The Team at Precision did an outstanding job with my bedroom addition and bathroom renovation. Their daily log updates were super helpful and kept me well informed throughout the process and consulted me every step of the way. Would highly recommend!
