DiStefano Brothers Construction describes itself on Houzz as a design-build firm working on bathrooms, decks, full kitchen renovations and modest additions, and its website claims 20 years in business. Google shows 4.7 stars from 76 ratings, Houzz shows 5.0 from 15, and its BBB grade is A+. A recent Google customer hired it to replace a wood deck with composite. That customer said getting started took a fairly long while, but once on site the team kept going until completion. When the inspection failed because code required a hardscaped landing at the foot of the steps, they were back the same day and put down sand and concrete paver blocks to get the permit closed. As a change order, they also replaced the old aluminum siding and trim with vinyl. The same customer felt the total pricing was on the high side, and the quality too. For a partial master bathroom renovation, a recent Google customer said Brian Clements kept them up to date on a daily basis and was always on time. A recent customer who had a garage floor coating installed said the installers, Eddy and Eduardo, answered their questions. A 2019 Houzz customer said the company designed and built the kitchen remodel they wanted, then was hired back to re-side part of the house and redo the deck. A 2017 customer said a kitchen and powder room renovation took a bit more than a month and that they cleaned up every day. A 2016 customer described a bathroom renovation with new wall tile, a replaced floor and the tub swapped for a floor-level shower, and said they removed the toilet every morning and reinstalled it before leaving each day. A 2013 customer said the company provided a schedule, finished its kitchen remodel on time, and that the final bill matched the quote apart from items the customer added.
“General Contractor: DiStefano Brothers Construction.”
DiStefano Brothers recently did two jobs for us. Each went extremely well. In particular, I value good communication with people who work with us. Brian Clements from their Property Services Division seemed to know as a matter of course what an important part this plays in any successful project. It’s astounding that so many contractors don’t seem to get this. I tell them all, “If you leave me in the dark, I’m going to think the worst things about you. You don’t want that, believe me.” You’d think that would be enough…. Anyway, our work with DiStefano Brothers went great. Based on my experience, I’d recommend them to anyone.
Wow! What a find! We contacted DiStefano to do a partial renovation of our master bathroom. Brian Clements was superb - kept me up-to-date on a daily basis, always on time, meticulous (not a speck of dust or dirt), and just an all around nice person to deal with. The finished product is spectacular. Thank you Brian and team!
Primary job was to replace a wood deck with composite. It seemed to take a fairly long while to get the ball rolling (Design Agreement Aug 20th; completion of footings Nov 16th), but once the team was on site, they kept going consistently until completion. Design details are top notch and they were very responsive to our requests. Of particular note, I had asked that they _not_ pour a concrete pad at the foot of the steps leading down to ground level from the deck because I was going to landscape it with a bluestone path once spring came around and things warmed up. Turns out, code requires some sort of hardscaped landing. They were back out on site the same day that inspection failed and managed to dig through the frozen mud to put down some sand and concrete paver blocks to get the permit closed. As a "change order" following the deck, they also replaced what was probably the original 1963 aluminum siding and trim with vinyl. Some nice details there too, such as boxing in penetrations for the oil tank and heat pump. Overall I felt the total pricing was on the high side -- but the quality is, too.
We are so happy with our new garage floor coating. The product is exceptional. The installers Eddy and Eduardo were professional and answered my questions. Great customer service. I highly recommended this company and I will be telling my friends and neighbors about this company. Thank you DiStefano Brothers!
I have worked with a good number of contractors over the years and I would put distefano brothers at the top of the list! Tom (project manager), Eric (project Forman) and Jesse (lead carpenter) we're all great. Overall project was exceptionally well managed, quality of work outstanding and communication was great! I will be calling them for my next project.
