Precision Home Inspection Services is a Somerset home inspection company that has just changed hands. By its own account, Chris Letendre founded it on April 15, 2000, ran it for 26 years, and in April 2026 transferred ownership to Tim Cabral, who inspects, and Kathleen Cabral, who runs the office. The company lists a service area running from Fall River, Swansea, Westport, Dartmouth and New Bedford into Rhode Island towns including Barrington, Bristol, Tiverton and Providence. The Massachusetts home inspector licence 257-HI-1, held by Christopher J Letendre, is active on the state registry. On Google it holds 4.7 stars from 38 ratings, and its written reviews date from 2021 to March 2025. The most detailed, from March 2025, describes Chris crouching into small spots and getting down on the ground to see hidden areas, then a full report with pictures and a breakdown of each issue's severity arriving by email that evening. The customer added that pricing was comparable to the other companies they called. A 2023 reviewer said Brian and Chris got to them within a couple of days and delivered the report the same day; a 2022 reviewer credited the team with working through a complicated multifamily property. In a 2021 review, first-time buyers said Brian broke down what needed addressing so they did not feel overwhelmed, and a 2023 reviewer recommended Chris L and his team to military buyers using a VA loan. There is one complaint: a 1-star Google review from March 2023 says the inspector missed a rotten floor in a bathroom, leaving the buyer with a very pricey repair. Angi and HomeAdvisor list complete home inspection, radon gas testing and radon gas abatement among its services. The company's site cites Massachusetts and Rhode Island licence numbers, and BuildZoom lists several Rhode Island home inspector licences and a Rhode Island residential contractor licence for it.
I couldn’t be more happy with this company! Right from the beginning, I got an almost immediate response from my inquiry and chatting with Kathy to find out details about their service, pricing and scheduling was effortless. Not only was she knowledgeable and informative but she was incredibly nice as well. Day of inspection, Chris came out exactly when he said he’d be there and got to work. It was impressive watching him do his thing, crouching into small spots and getting down on the ground to get his eyes on all the hidden areas. His thoroughness and attention to detail was incredible. It’s clear he knows what he’s doing and has the experience of a seasoned professional. An absolute joy to have on site and talk to about what he was seeing. Later that evening I had a full, very detailed report in my email including pictures and a break down on the severity of any issues found. When deciding what company to go with I called a few places and pricing mostly seemed comparable among the places I looked into. Honestly though, I would’ve paid a premium for the service I got from Precision Home inspection. Not only would I recommend but I’ll also use them in the future when the need arises.
Brian Petrasso was awesome!! He was precise, personable, and meticulous. His personality was a bonus! I highly recommend him! 5 stars *****

I highly recommend Chris L and his team for inspections, especially to military who are buying a house with the VA loan. He is very professional and knowledgeable and I learned a lot about how to take care of my house. He was great to work with, 5 stars!!
Very very impressed with this company and Brian and Chris. Would 100% recommend to everyone. They got to me in a couple days and got the report to me same day. Extremely thorough. They definitely went above and beyond.
