Prescription Turf Services

Massachusetts lists Prescription Turf Services on its pesticide enforcement page with a Notice of Assessment — a fine — recorded 10/13/2021, citing 333 CMR 10.06, 333 CMR 14.04 and M.G.L. c. 132B, Section 6A. For a company whose whole business is putting product on grass, that is the first thing a homeowner should ask about. The Middleton company works at a scale most lawn services don't. A Tufts University sustainability report names it as the campus's outside contractor for broadleaf weed control, and in August 2019 Westwood Public Schools wrote to parents about it spraying every school and town athletic field in the town other than two — that article prints the name as "Prescription Turf Services(TRUGREEN)", a parent brand the company's own site never mentions. For a residential customer, that site is a single consultation form: a lawn treatment plan built around grass type, climate and soil, weed control, a "Lawn Quality Audit" and a "Healthy Lawn Guarantee" that refunds the last application if the lawn isn't what you wanted. So this is a turf applicator first and a lawn-care brand second, and there is no customer writing to weigh against its own pitch. If you call them, ask what the 2021 assessment was for and what changed after it, ask which company you are actually contracting with, and ask for the licence number of the applicator who will be treating your property.
