Prescription Turf Services

Prescription Turf Services works at the scale of playing fields and campuses rather than front lawns. A patch.com item from August 2019 reported that Westwood Public Schools had written to parents about the Middleton company spraying pesticides on all school and town athletic fields, other than Flahive Field and the Multipurpose Field. A Tufts sustainability page has described it as the outside contractor handling one to two applications of broadleaf weed killer a year. Its own site is built for that kind of client — a single "Commercial Lead" consultation form, customized lawn care programs and weed control, a "Lawn Quality Audit", and a "Healthy Lawn Guarantee" that refunds the last application. One thing to raise before signing: mass.gov lists a Notice of Assessment (Fine) for Prescription Turf Services dated 10/13/2021, citing 333 CMR 10.06, 333 CMR 14.04(2), 333 CMR 14.04(5)(a), 333 CMR 14.09(1) and M.G.L. c. 132B, Section 6A. If you manage fields, a campus or another commercial property and want a program-based weed-control contract, this is the kind of company to call. Ask how the Healthy Lawn Guarantee gets applied in practice, and what notice you and your neighbors receive before each application.
