Pyramid Roofing

Pyramid Roofing is a Manchester, New Hampshire roofing and siding contractor, owner-operated by Shawn Schwotzer, that says it has served New Hampshire homeowners for more than 40 years. It's a GAF factory-certified installer with an A+ from the Better Business Bureau, and across 398 Google ratings it holds 4.9 stars. The reviews describe a crew built around speed and thorough cleanup: reviewers repeatedly mention tarps or netting laid down to catch debris and a final pass with a magnet to pick up stray nails, and most full roof replacements — even ones with multiple skylights or several layers of old shingles — are finished in a single day or two. Customers who shopped around describe Pyramid coming out ahead: a 2023 review said the family interviewed seven roofing companies and only two submitted proposals that met their expectations, with Pyramid's GAF shingles rating higher on Consumer Reports than the competition; a 2024 review said three bids came in and Shawn's had the best materials package and price. Long-term relationships come up often too — one reviewer had Shawn replace a roof 22 years ago and called him back recently for a small repair, and a 2024 review from a 30-year customer described a recent lead-flashing repair around a newly built chimney handled by the same foreman, Willy, who has coordinated their jobs for decades. Two things are worth knowing directly. In a 2023 review, a customer said a sales rep visited to quote a job and promised a follow-up from Shawn, but two weeks passed with no contact until the customer called themselves. Separately, OSHA's public inspection records list an inspection of Pyramid Roofing LLC, filed under the roofing contractors NAICS code, with violations categorized as Serious, Willful, and Repeat; the record available doesn't give a date or say whether it was resolved. That's a workplace-safety finding about how the company runs its crews, not something the customer reviews — which are almost uniformly positive — would surface on their own. For a full roof replacement or repair, Pyramid's customer-facing track record is deep and consistent, and shopping it against competing bids seems to work in its favor; the OSHA record is worth asking about directly if worker safety on the job site matters to you.
