Quality Insulation of Eastern CT is an insulation contractor in Norwich whose branch page lists fiberglass, spray foam, cellulose, mineral wool and rigid board, with services for homeowners, home builders and commercial builders. Its stated service area runs from Brooklyn, Colchester and Glastonbury to Groton, Middletown and Narragansett, and it says it offers free estimates. It holds a 3.6-star Google rating from 28 ratings. A recent customer described an attic insulation job with an Eversource rebate on the line: Devin, Katrina and Jason handled the estimate and the scheduling, and the installers did not dilly-dally. A 2025 customer building a new house named Gene in sales and Jason in installation and praised the installation of foam, battens and blow-in. In a 2025 review, a first-time spray foam customer said the price was great, the scheduling was clear and prompt, and recommended Kevin and his team. A recent customer building a new home said the company's spray foam in the house and roof left the roof shingles bubbling, and an independent inspector confirmed the roof required replacement. That customer described a ten-month ordeal and said a Gallagher Bassett insurance representative offered to cover only a portion of the damages, contingent on signing a liability release. A 2026 customer said the insulators who came to finish the attic left dust and piles of insulation materials upstairs, got insulation on freshly painted trim, ripped a piece of trim off the ceiling, and never sent someone to clean up. A 2026 customer said a salesman took over a week to call back, was late to the appointment, and the office finally sent a text saying it could not do the job. In a 2024 review, a customer who had a garage sprayed said one crew left tools thrown around, several things broken and a damaged window, missed spots in the quote, and a third visit was needed to cut the foam back; the manager, Jesse Almeida, offered $400 back and said the window would be fixed. A 2023 customer said the office would not schedule the job until half the quote was paid and then wanted full payment before the work started. A 2022 customer said a salesperson called insisting on payment at completion after a manager had approved paying a few days later so an inspection could be done. A 2022 customer said a ceiling in a lower entryway was not done, outlets were left covered by insulation, and empty bags were left in the attic.
With the need of attic insulation installation, I understood that this was not a DIY or "hire a friend of a friend" project, especially when an Eversource rebate is on the line! That's where Quality Installation kicks in. Devin, Katrina and Jason were there to represent and assure that the estimation was cost-effective and scheduling of the project was timely. The installers were extremely professional in demeanor and didn't dilly-dally. Work was DONE. I am quite certain I'll be holding their information and making them my first pick come any other issues erupt from my home!
I had an extremely poor experience with Quality Insulation during the construction of my new home. My general contractor hired this company to install spray foam insulation in the house and roof. Once the work was completed, I observed that the roof shingles appeared compromised with visible bubbling. I immediately notified my general contractor, who then notified Quality Insulation, and I hired an independent inspector. The inspector confirmed the roof was compromised and required replacement. I was placed in contact with Jesse Almeida, who was extremely unhelpful. When he would answer the phone or email, he provided no assistance in reaching a resolution. When I asked for the company’s insurance information, he stopped responding altogether. This turned into a ten-month ordeal on a brand-new construction home, causing delays in my move-in date and resulting in additional financial loss. After the roof was eventually replaced by my general contractor, I received a communication from an insurance representative at Gallagher Bassett stating that Quality Insulation would only cover a portion of the damages, contingent upon me signing a restrictive liability release. I would strongly advise against using this company based on their lack of professional accountability, poor communication, and refusal to address the damage caused by their installation.
We had a good experience with using Quality Insulation up until yesterday… when the insulators came to finish the attic, they left the worst mess I’ve seen on a job site in years! When we called to voice our concerns, they said they’d send someone out to clean up… but they didn’t. They left dust all over EVERYTHING, piles of insulation materials in every room upstairs, got insulation all over freshly painted trim, and they ripped a piece of trim off the ceiling. Completely unprofessional. I’ll improve my review if this ordeal is resolved in a professional manner instead of ghosting us
Absolutely horrible service. Salesman took over a week to call back and then was late to the appointment. Took over and week and multiple phone calls to the office to finally get a TEXT ONLY says " we cannot do this job at this time". Inside sales and manager didnt follow thru with call back phones either. Don't waster your time
Starting with Gene in sales, through Jason in installation and the teams that supported them we are very pleased. We build a new house and their coordination, flexibility and installation of foam, battens and blow-in was outstanding. Thank you Quality.
