R & E Heating and Air Conditioning describes itself on HomeAdvisor as a locally owned and operated HVAC business that offers twenty-four-hour emergency service. A 2025 customer wrote that the wrong unit was installed: a 3-ton unit went into a home that needed a 2-ton unit, and the customer said the larger unit was causing issues. A 2021 customer said R&E serviced their boiler and identified the reason it wasn't working correctly. A 2021 customer said R&E replaced their oil tank with a different style of tank that had the same capacity and a smaller footprint, so none of the walls had to be demolished; two men spent all day on that job. A 2019 customer with a ductless mini-split AC unit said R&E came over the same day and got it back up and running. A 2019 customer said R&E replaced their central air compressor and added coolant and a sealant, coming out on a very hot Saturday afternoon. A 2019 customer who had an open town permit to close before selling a house said R&E came out right away and did what was needed. A 2019 customer said the technician called out sick for the first appointment, and that when the preventive maintenance was done another day the chimney did not get cleaned, so the customer cleaned it.

R&E Heating did an excellent job servicing our boiler and identifying the reason it wasn't working correctly. Pleasant to work with and great customer service. Will use R&E again for our heating and air repairs
Very professional! Excellent contractor.
R&E Heating did an amazing job when they replaced my oil tank. I got four quotes and each of the other places wanted to demolish my wall to do the job. R&E gave me the option of using a different style oil tank that was the same capacity but had a smaller footprint. It also had a much better rating. The tank itself was more expensive, but the total quote was LESS than anyone else! Two men arrived on time and spent all day doing the job but did not have to do any demolition of my walls or a tub sink I have downstairs. It seems the other companies wanted to just tear out the wall (or remove the sink, which was another option I was given) so they could get the job done quickly and be on their way to the next job. R&E took the time to do the job right, even though it was labor intensive. They have great pride in their workmanship. The city came to look at the work and also proclaimed what a nice job they had done, so itâ s not just me!
