Retaining walls, front steps and paver patios feature in customers’ 2022–2025 accounts of R & I Masonry & Hardscape Construction Corp. The Taunton company says it has 10 years in business and offers patios, stone walls, walkways, fire pits, outdoor kitchens, bricklaying, paving and snow plowing. Google lists 4.7 stars from 14 ratings; HomeAdvisor lists 5.0 from six. A May 2025 Google reviewer said Richardson and his crew worked long days on a wall that had troubled the customer for 20 years, praising the workmanship and describing the price as fair and competitive. In August 2023, a customer who hired them for front steps said the quoting process was easy and Richardson kept in contact as the project progressed. A June 2023 reviewer praised the installation of a retaining wall, including punctuality and neat work. Paver jobs drew detailed praise in 2023. A May customer said Richardson was on site every day during a pool-surround project, kept them informed and offered the most reasonable quote of the three companies they contacted. The crew worked until 8 p.m. on one occasion to finish on schedule. In April, another customer described a large backyard paver deck completed ahead of schedule and praised its pitch, attention to detail and reasonable price. A December 2023 reviewer said the crew arrived punctually, worked past sunset and produced pavement that drew compliments from coworkers. A November 2022 Google complaint describes a different outcome: the customer alleged the job was left incomplete, the company kept their money and a promised return the following week never happened. A separate August 2022 HomeAdvisor reviewer praised an accurate estimate and a patio started and finished when promised. HomeAdvisor reviewers that July and November also praised a retaining wall and brick steps, respectively. The company’s HomeAdvisor profile advertises free estimates, warranties and emergency services.
