A recent Google customer said Allen charged nothing for the diagnosis and was honest and to the point. R. J. Riquier Inc is a plumbing business whose website opens on leaky faucets, leaky toilets, old furnaces and hot water heaters, and the company says it has been in business 94 years. A Connecticut plumber license, PLM.0281810-P1, is active on the state registry with ALLEN J RIQUIER as holder of record. The company lists a service area that includes Willimantic, Norwich, Colchester, East Lyme, Groton and Ledyard, and its BBB grade is A+. In a 2024 review, a customer said Allen and his team had done a number of jobs over the years for the reviewer's friends and family, and praised the prompt service. A recent customer said they came out to quote mini splits, walked around for about 20 minutes and never sent the quote; a message left afterward got no response. A 2026 customer called the company severely overpriced, citing $455 for a 20-minute job replacing a part.
Allen was great today, no charge for the diagnose, he was honest and to the point, really appreciate it Looks like they are correcting their operations. My 2018 review was:Lost 1 week
They came out to my house to give me a quote on mini splits. They walked around for about 20 minutes or so, said okay I'll give you a quote. And never got one. Called back and left a message. And got no response back.
Severely overpriced. Should be ashamed of themselves. $455.00 for 20 min job replacing a part that was probably less than $50.00.
Allen and his team are extremely competent, responsive, fair, and get the job done right! They have done a number of jobs over the years for my friends and family and I can't recommend them enough for smooth, hassle-free, prompt service. Thanks Allen!
