Pretty big holes in the ceilings and walls, fixed in a day and a half — that is the job a Thumbtack customer described in March 2023, and drywall damage is a good part of what Randy's Painting gets called for. Randy Peay is named as owner and lead painter of the Easton, Pennsylvania company, which calls itself family-owned and works across the Lehigh Valley and Bucks County: Bethlehem, Allentown and Nazareth on one side, Doylestown, Newtown and Yardley on the other. The written reviews run 2018 to 2023, most of them posted in March 2021, and the platform numbers sit at 5.0 from seven ratings on Houzz and 4.7 from 34 on Thumbtack. Drywall runs through those reviews as much as paint does. A December 2020 customer had two very large holes patched and came away with advice on other projects; a 2018 reviewer said Randy turned up in the evening on short notice, to get the job ready for its next stage, and clearly knew drywall finishing. The outside work shows up too. A couple writing in March 2021 had inside work done as well as whole-house exterior painting, with the siding power washed and painted; another March 2021 reviewer said Randy talked through how he would approach an exterior job and kept them updated as it ran. In June 2020, a homeowner hired the crew to paint the trim and stain the porch floors of a Victorian, with some light repairs, and said they worked around weather delays. Price is the other thing customers keep bringing up: several 2021 reviewers called the estimate fair or the cost reasonable, and one said he would work with their budget. What is worth pinning down is how long the company has actually been at this. Its own site says Randy Peay started as a one-painter operation in 2009, and elsewhere claims 35-plus years; Thumbtack's profile says 30 years, and Angi's experience fields disagree between 10 and 30. For patch-and-paint work — damaged drywall or plaster, a house that needs the outside done — this is a small, owner-led crew with five years of written accounts behind it, the newest from 2023. Ask Randy directly how long he has been running the business, and confirm he still covers your town: the area his site lists stretches from Easton out across Bucks County.
Randy and his crew did an amazing job fixing some pretty big holes in my ceilings and walls. They also managed to do it in only a day and a half! They were very nice and reasonably priced as well. I would definitely hire them again in the future.
Randy and his guys got started on my job the day after they got in contact, which was fantastic. Hardworking and courteous at a great price, would definitely hire again if we ever need our walls repaired. Special shout-out to Ed who did most of it and was great to work with!
