Ranney Building & Design, Inc.

Ranney Building & Design is a Sandwich-based design-build firm serving Cape Cod, run by Alex and Angela Ranney, offering remodeling, custom home construction, additions, and in-house architectural design alongside permitting and site planning. Its Massachusetts home improvement contractor license is active, and the company also lists a Construction Supervisor license on its own site and Houzz page. The review record is thin — just two on file — but both are striking. One came from a customer with over 15 years in the plumbing and heating trade, who called Ranney the best builder he's worked with, citing a kept schedule and unmatched attention to detail. The other, from 2025, described the team preserving the character of a 100-plus-year-old house while adding a new staircase during structural work. With so few reviews, it's worth asking for references directly on a project similar in scope to what you're planning — kitchen and bath remodels, additions, and new construction are all listed among the company's services, though the evidence here centers on structural and architectural work rather than room-specific remodels.
