In July 2026 someone posted a review whose entire content was that they wanted to be number 1,000: "I saw this company has 999 reviews and I wanted to be number 1,000." That is the shape of RCL Mechanical's public record — 1,014 Google ratings averaging 4.9, 137 of them in the last six months, and only a handful negative. RCL runs plumbing, heating and cooling out of Raynham. What its customers actually describe splits two ways: emergency calls answered fast, and whole systems swapped quickly. One person called first thing in the morning and had a plumber at the house by noon, who then diagnosed the problem as not plumbing at all and saved them the job. Another, with a hot water tank leaking in a rental after several plumbers said next day, had two technicians on site within a couple of hours. On the replacement side, a June 2026 customer had a 26-year-old system pulled out and new American Standard equipment installed in a single day, cleanup included. The other thing the record shows is names. Reviewers thank specific technicians constantly — JT, Kris, Chris, Jayden, Matt, Devin, Robbie, Max, Bill, Alex — which is unusual at this volume and suggests the same crew keeps coming back. Two things are worth weighing before calling. The first is money. "Prices are a bit steep" is how a July 2026 customer put it, while still rating the work highly; a 2024 account posted on HomeAdvisor describes being charged almost $500 for the visit before the technician found he did not have the part. A May 2026 reviewer disputed what the maintenance membership actually covered once a second system turned out to be three, and a June 2026 customer who was otherwise satisfied with the install waited two weeks for a promised pressure-sensor replacement without anyone calling back. The second has nothing to do with homeowners. In May 2025 Bloomberg Law reported that a National Labor Relations Board administrative law judge found RCL Mechanical Inc. had committed serious and pervasive unfair labor practices around a 2024 union election — illegal interrogations, threats, disciplines and terminations — and ordered the company to bargain with the plumbers' and pipefitters' union anyway. The NLRB's own account of the decision describes reinstating illegally fired workers and rescinding unlawful discipline, and a LaborLab report dated May 2024 lists RCL among employers that engaged union-avoidance consultants. None of that speaks to how a water heater gets installed, but it is a matter of federal record about how the company has treated the people it sends into your house. For an after-hours burst pipe or a furnace that quits in January, the volume and the consistency are hard to argue with. Get the diagnostic fee and the membership terms in writing before anyone starts.
“A Massachusetts plumbing and HVAC business must bargain with a union that lost a representation election because the company committed serious and pervasive unfair labor practices, including multiple violations prior to the vote, a National Labor Relations Board judge ruled. ... RCL Mechanical Inc.’s violations included illegal interrogations, threats, disciplines, terminations, and promises of rewards for not supporting an affiliate of the United Association of Journeymen and Apprentices of the Plumbing and Pipe Fitting Industry, Administrative Law Judge Geoffrey Carter held Wednesday.”
“They charges almost $500 just for walking in the door and then said they couldn?t do the repair because they didn?t have the part. I had told them over the phone exactly what pa”

“The General Counsel contends that, in 2024, RCL Mechanical, Inc. (Respondent) responded to a union organizing campaign by, during the critical period between the filing of the representation petition and the election: making statements and engaging in conduct that had a reasonable tendency to coerce employees in the exercise of their Section 7 rights; unlawfully disciplining one employee; and unlawfully reassigning employees who supported the United Association of Journeymen and Apprentices of the Pipe Fitting Industry of the United States and Canada, Plumbers and Gasfitters Local 12, AFL-CIO ”
Great service! Sergio went above and beyond to make sure my flush valve was taken care of and also provided a lot of helpful info about why my toilet was having issues and how to address them in the future. Easily will use again!
honestly cannot say enough great things about Max and the two workers that came with him. They installed a central air conditioning unit at my house, and from start to finish, they were absolutely fantastic. They were professional, knowledgeable, neat, and extremely respectful of my home. They took the time to explain everything, communicated throughout the entire process, and made sure the job was done right. What really stood out to me was how clean and neat Max and his crew were. You would never know that they had been working in the house. They clearly takes pride in their work, and it shows in every detail.
Recently had central ac installed and am extremely happy with the entire experience. Form meeting with Devin to discuss our needs to working with Emily from scheduling team on installation dates, timing, and questions. The process was seamless from start to finish. A special thank you to Robbie and Sean, who were absolutely wonderful. They arrived on time each day, were respectful of our home, cleaned up throughly each day, and took the time to walk us through the new system and thermostat update. The professionalism and communication from everyone involved exceeded our expectations. I would highly recommend this team to anyone considering a central ac installation.
