Reap Construction builds custom homes in Vermont. On its Houzz profile the company says it has specialized in residential custom homes and commercial projects in Vermont since 2004, growing from a husband-and-wife team, and its website says it has 22 years in business. A 2020 customer said Reap Construction built their small, efficient, modern home near Sugarbush while they were out of town for most of the construction, with Bob managing the job. That 2020 customer also wrote that Bob offered alternatives when their decisions did not fit their budget. A 2020 reviewer described Joy as the project manager and Bob as the key man in the field and the supervisor on the build of their house. A 2020 reviewer wrote that the team took on details of the Bear Creek custom home, including timber trusses, a double-sided stone-faced fireplace and hand-crafted steel accents. A 2023 customer described weekly meetings with Joy and Bob Reap and their architect during the building of their new home. A 2020 reviewer said it was their fourth project with Reap Construction and that Joy kept the subcontractors on task and schedule. A 2021 customer who used the company for multiple projects on their home said jobs were completed on time and within the budgets discussed. The work is not only new houses. A 2024 Google reviewer said Reap Construction did a complete remodel of their kitchen, and that the Reap team jumped in to help when their lower level flooded. A 2021 reviewer said a carpenter did a good job building a small room with a loft, and that a couple of communication issues with the contractor were addressed and resolved by the company owners. On Google it holds 4.2 stars from 21 ratings, and Houzz shows 4.9 stars from 10 ratings along with 6 Houzz Awards. Its Better Business Bureau grade is A+. A page on aiavt.org credits Reap Construction as builder. Vermont lists its home improvement contractor registration, 174.0000031, as active, held by Reap Construction, Ltd.

Reap Construction did a complete remodel of our kitchen a year ago and we absolutely love the newly revitalized space. Working with Joy, Bob, and Jennifer was easy with seamless communication: straightforward, timely, and focused on our needs. And recently when we experienced flooding in our lower level, the Reap team jumped in to help us out. When we do more renovations in the future, we'll be working with Reap Construction.

We enjoyed the building process of our new home because of Reap's close attention and organization. Our weekly meetings with Joy and Bob Reap and our architect, Jeff McBride, gave us a better understanding of the building process. The meetings also presented opportunities to discuss any changes that we might want.. The entire Reap team instilled confidence that things were going to be done right. Everyone was always very friendly and willing to answer questions. Thank you for making this project so much fun. We are very grateful and would not change a thing.

Talented carpenter did a good job building a small room with a loft. We had a couple of communication issues with the contractor, which were addressed and resolved by the company owners.

We have used the Reaps for multiple projects on our home. Each time, the results have exceeded our expectations! The quality of work was consistently top-grade and the cost fair and competitive. More importantly, the Reaps did a great job at discussing options, offering suggestions that offered better outcomes than originally planned, all while being realistic and straight forward. As a homeowner, we found these traits to be invaluable while tackling multiple home improvement projects. Jobs were always completed on time and well within the budgets that were discussed. We highly recommend Reap Construction for your job!
