Redbrick Core lists masonry first among its services on its website, which names Chicopee as its service area, and a recent Google customer's account of a bathroom repair is a hard one. That customer said they hired Joey Albino to fix a leaking shower drain on the first floor and a toilet leaking at the base seal. To address the shower drain he replaced the entire floor, the customer wrote, but the shower continued to leak and the toilet was still leaking. The same customer said he did come back to try to fix the problems again, but the process dragged on for weeks, with him and a helper coming for short periods almost daily, which the customer called very disruptive. About a month after the repair, that customer wrote, the shower started leaking again. They also said a vent/light fixture he installed was done incorrectly: the switch does not control it properly and it changes light colors unpredictably, and they now need a licensed electrician to fix it. That customer said they were out $3,500 and facing several thousand dollars more to have the problems corrected; they described him as very nice and responsive in communication, and wrote that the workmanship did not hold up. In a 2023 Google review, a customer said Joe came the next day and fixed a small patch on their kitchen ceiling. Its Massachusetts home improvement contractor registration, number 208552, held by Joel Albino, is active on the state registry. Its BBB grade is A+.
We hired Joey Albino to fix what should have been two straightforward issues: a leaking shower drain on the first floor and a toilet leaking at the base seal. We chose him over several others because he was very personable and had positive reviews. Unfortunately, the quality of work did not match that first impression. To address the shower drain, he replaced the entire floor, which initially looked great—but the shower continued to leak, and the toilet was still leaking as well. To his credit, he did come back to try to fix the problems again. However, the process dragged on for weeks, with him and a helper coming for short periods almost daily, which was very disruptive. About a month after the “repair,” the shower started leaking again. On top of that, we also hired him to install a vent/light fixture, and that was done incorrectly. The switch does not control it properly, and every time it’s used, it changes light colors unpredictably—clearly not installed as intended. Now we need to hire a licensed electrician to fix that issue as well. At this point, we are out $3,500 and facing an additional several thousand dollars to have these problems corrected by a qualified professional. While the contractor was very nice and responsive in communication, the workmanship simply did not hold up. I would strongly recommend choosing a more experienced and reputable contractor to avoid similar issues.
We had a small patch on our kitchen ceiling that needed to be fixed and Joe came by today and fixed it.he was great and came the next day to do it. I highly recommend him to get the job done.
