Reggie's Oil Co. has been a Quincy fixture since 1979, when Joe Reggiannini bought an oil delivery route and merged it with his father Armando's burner repair business — Joe now runs it with his wife Patty. The company's reputation leans heavily on snowstorm rescues: across several years of reviews, customers describe waking up to an empty tank mid-storm, getting no answer from other providers, and having Reggie's send someone out within the hour. In a 2026 review, one customer said other oil companies had an automated message saying they didn't open until 8am, but Reggie's got a truck out right away, and the customer switched companies on the spot. A 2023 review described Joe and his son Matt working past 7pm on a below-zero night to fix a heating failure for a four-year customer. The company also draws real complaints, mostly about policy rather than workmanship: several reviews describe being turned away for emergency delivery or furnace service because they weren't already oil customers — in a 2021 review, one customer said Reggie's had serviced their furnace for years under the previous owner but refused once they bought the house and didn't also buy oil from the company. A late-2025 review described being asked for a credit check before an oil order and hanging up rather than continue. A 2023 review said a technician declined a mid-summer service call for a cold-water boiler, saying it wasn't an emergency. The Better Business Bureau lists Reggie's as A+ rated and accredited since 1998. A solid choice for existing or new oil customers who need heating repairs, but worth confirming upfront whether they'll service equipment without an active oil account.

Reliable and friendly company. Delivery was quick, and the staff had a great attitude. Very professional service. I feel confident using them for all my heating oil needs.
Called right before the snow storm and they came within an hour for an emergency delivery! Life savers
Woke up in a snowstorm to an empty oil tank. Called my oil provider and there was no answer. There was an automated message saying they opened at 8 AM. Called Reggie‘s and Joe got someone out right away to fill up our tank. Needless to say, we switched companies. You don’t really think about your oil company until you need them and these guys came through.
I called to order oil and the guy says that I need to do a credit check, I hung up. Slightly hilarious, I’ve never heard that before.. but I wouldn’t be surprised he discriminated
