When a multifamily boiler quit and the tenants upstairs were due home with a newborn in two days, this Quincy shop is the one that took the job after others had tried and failed. Speed is the through-line across 431 Google ratings averaging 4.8: a caller with a Sunday-night clog had a crew Monday morning, an after-hours water-heater leak got a two-hour callback window, and a blocked drain booked within 24 hours was cleared inside the hour. Its Massachusetts plumbing license is active and its BBB page is an accredited A+. The work spans both halves of the name. On the plumbing side it is the everyday list — leaks under sinks, toilet flanges, shut-off valves, water heaters, washer-dryer hookups, a pressure-reducing valve on a basement water main. On the heating and cooling side it is real equipment work: a Viessmann Vitodens boiler installed in a single day this March, a hydro-heat and AC system done over two days in April, annual central-air checkups. Technicians get named constantly — Connor, Chris Dang, Charlie Siewert, Tom, Ed, Huan, Tim, Nick, Bob Stone — and the same behaviors repeat in the write-ups: options laid out before work starts, a price given up front, booties on indoors, the area cleaned up after. Then there is the pricing, and it is a genuine split. Some customers say the name is earned — one this June found the quote well under a competing local bid, and a March 2026 reviewer called the rates competitive and mentioned perks for repeat customers. Others say the opposite in strong terms. A June 2025 customer was billed $775 to fit a new flange and wax ring on a toilet they had already pulled and cleaned themselves. A September 2025 customer compared a $250 faucet swap two years earlier against what they were quoted for the same job, then came back after the owner's public reply to say nobody had followed up. In February 2026 another wrote that the work was upcharged by the thousands on arrival. Notice what those accounts share: the number landed at the door, not before it. The positive reviews describe the antidote — a written quote and options presented before anyone touches anything. So insist on that. For an emergency — no heat, a burst line, a dead water heater — this is a shop that answers the phone and turns up. Make the price part explicit and in writing before the truck rolls, and if the figure moves once someone is standing in your basement, say so on the spot.
My husband and I had some plumbing no longer being used that we wanted removed so we could close up a wall. We got an initial quote from a local company that was higher than expected so we called Boston Budget Plumbing and they were indeed much more budget friendly. Connor came to give us the quote and was efficient, knowledgeable, kind and wore booties in our home which was extremely appreciated! He was actually able to do the work the same day but because of our own schedule restraints, we had to schedule it a few days out, which was no issue. On the day of the job, Connor arrived on time and got right to work. He again wore booties in our home, which might not seem like a big deal, but as someone who doesn’t like city shoes walking all around their house, I highly appreciated this gesture. He completed the work within the time he said it would take. The cost was exactly what he quoted us. He was so neat and efficient! He laid a drop cloth down where he was working to contain the mess. He vacuumed up when he was done. The work he did looked so nice and tidy (including before and after pictures). You can tell he takes pride in his work. We are extremely happy with the end result and will absolutely hire Connor again. You will not regret hiring Connor for your plumbing needs and as someone who is very particular when I am having work done in my home, that’s saying a lot!
Chris and Carlos were very friendly! They were very honest about the work that needed to be done, transparent with the possible cost and the work they were planning to proceed. They were also respectful with our house policy- to cover their shoes inside of the house! Thank you!
Charlie Siewert was a complete professional. He and Dennis were both polite and respectful. They worked very well together and were able to complete the job without any issues. I would highly recommend them both and your company to anyone I know.
5 STARS!!!! Highly recommend this plumbing company! Boston budget helped with doing plumbing for washer dryer installation, shower valve replacement, and toilet flange replacement. The technician Tom did an excellent job from start to finish. He was professional, knowledgeable, and took the time to ensure everything was done perfectly. Very skillful, reliable and trustworthy. Both the technician and the company were incredibly responsive, easy to communicate with, and provided outstanding customer service. I would definitely use their services again and would recommend them to others!
Professional, on time and great communication with the office and worker
