Reliable Fence Co. of Cape Cod is a family business now in its third generation — started by Stan, and today run by his son Derrick and partner Nick, who the company says learned the trade working alongside him. The website puts the operation at over 60 years serving Cape Cod homeowners and businesses with cedar, vinyl and aluminum fencing. That history shows up in the volume and consistency of what customers say: 43 written Google reviews from 2022 through 2026, the overwhelming majority five stars, with 10 of them in just the last six months. The same names keep showing up across different customers — Derrick and Nick personally walking through estimates, Tyler, Justin and Paul on install crews, Adrean in the office handling scheduling — unusual consistency for a company this size. Reviewers describe custom cedar gates, pool fencing, driveway fencing and full-yard replacements, several noting the crew showed up exactly when promised and cleaned up after. One customer, whose mother needed a few panels replaced, said the company didn't even charge her for the fix. The Better Business Bureau backs this up with an A+ rating, and Google shows a 4.7-star average across 63 ratings. The record isn't spotless. In a June 2026 review, a customer describes several large cracks in newly installed fence posts and says a follow-up photo and question went unanswered. In a May 2025 review, a customer describes a scheduled free-estimate visit where the crew came and left before the customer got home, with no resolution described. Both are one-off complaints in an otherwise deep, positive record, but worth asking about directly. For anyone on Cape Cod needing a new fence, a custom gate, or a repair to storm or rot damage, this is a long-running, family-run operation reviewers keep coming back to and referring friends to — several mention being recommended by multiple people before they called. Confirm current scheduling and communication expectations up front, and you're working with a crew that's been doing exactly this kind of work for decades.
“Reliable Fence Co. of Cape Cod is donating a wooden stockade fence to surround the backyard.”
Reliable Fence just replaced my old pool fence. They did a fantastic job. The guys showed up on time and finished on time. All of the fence panels and hardware are top quality. They were the only local company I called that offered to have the fence panels pre-painted white in a local shop so that we wouldn't have the hassle of painting around the trees and bushes that line the fence. Very friendly and hard working local operation!
We had a new custom wood gate installed. The gate was beautifully done in quality construction and hardware, and it nicely matches our existing fencing. Reliable rep Tyler arrived at the scheduled time, was thorough, professional, personable and customer service oriented. Great job.
Not only did they show up on the date they promised, but they also arrived right on time. The entire team, from the home office to the installation crew, was outstanding. Derrick came out, walked through everything with me, and quickly provided an updated quote when I decided to add additional fencing. Tim in Operations was equally impressive—he promptly returned my calls, kept me updated throughout the project, and ensured everything stayed on track. The installation crew was incredible. They were professional, communicated with me every day, explained each step of the installation process, and made sure all of my questions were answered. They finished the project exactly when they said they would. The fence is absolutely stunning. I chose an all-cedar fence with a modern horizontal design, and it has completely transformed the look of my property. I've actually had several people walking their dogs stop to tell me how beautiful it looks. From start to finish, the experience exceeded my expectations. Check out the picture--and yes my plants are no longer crooked.
All of the employees and staff at Reliable Fence make it a pleasure to do business with them. A quality product; installed with great skill that adds immensely to the enjoyment of my home.
Derrick (Owner) was wonderful from the beginning, explaining all of the different styles/types of fences, completed/delivered a timely estimate and supplied a wonderful installation crew. JUSTIN & PAUL installed our fence. They were very careful, conscience and provided us updates as the install progressed. They were very clean, efficient and polite....everything a homeowner could ask for. I highly recommend RELIABLE FENCE!
