Resendes Electric is a one-man operation out of Rehoboth that's been doing residential and light-commercial electrical work in Southeastern Massachusetts since 2000 — panel upgrades, generator hookups, rewiring, lighting, the full range a homeowner might need over the years. Owner Joseph "Joe" Resendes holds an active Massachusetts electrician license, verified against the state registry, and the business carries an A+ rating with the Better Business Bureau. The written record here runs long but old: fifteen reviews on file span 2001 through 2020, and the story across nearly all of them is the same — fair, sometimes below-estimate pricing, quick response times, and a willingness to see a job through even when it runs longer than planned. In a 2003 review, a customer described Joe working through a holiday weekend to finish a job without changing the quoted price after it took more hours than expected; in a 2020 review, a homeowner who upgraded to 200-amp service with a generator plug called the work outstanding and said he stayed until the power was back on. Angi's own summary backs this up: a 5.0 rating from 20 ratings spanning that same 2001–2020 window, consistently citing fair pricing, responsiveness and quality work. A 2022 local news story noted that Resendes Electric had hosted a high-school student's cooperative-education placement — a small sign the shop has been enough of a fixture in the area to take on that kind of arrangement. The one thing worth knowing going in is that this written record, while consistently strong, hasn't been refreshed with new customer accounts recently — the newest review on file is from 2020. Worth confirming current availability and turnaround directly before booking, since a one-person shop's schedule can vary. Otherwise, this reads as a steady, straightforward call for wiring, panel and generator work from someone who has been doing it in this area for a quarter century.
“Jacob has excelled at his Cooperative Education placement at Resendes Electrical, all the while maintaining a rigorous course studies in honors classes”
I upgraded my service to 200 Amps and added a generator plug. Joe did an outstanding job and worked until we had our power back. He finished up on the 2nd day and was a pleasure to work with. I am very pleased with the work and the price quoted.
Very satisfied with his work.
Does great work in timely manner. Very knowledgeable.
Very quick to respond and provided a fair estimate which was well below others I had researched. Joe worked in the house through a holiday weekend to get the job done. Though the job required him to work more hours than originally planned, he did so without changing a dime on the estimate and completed the job within a week. Very fair, honest and focused on quality. I would highly recommend him.
Resendes Electric was great to deal with, did a wonderful job at a very fair price and I would definitely use him again when anything comes up.
