Typical Greater Boston range for this kind of work, from regional averages — not a quote from RICHARD J MORGAN INTERIORS. Use it to sanity-check bids, then get the real number in writing.
A day rate replaces the task list — usually the better deal once the list gets long.

A bakery had a problem others had already tried and failed to fix. The customer who wrote it up in March 2019 said Richard J. Morgan Interiors came out on very short notice and got it sorted: "Richard knows his job, and really helped us." Morgan works out of Cambridge, and the profiles that carry his reviews describe the everyday list — handyman work across multiple small projects, door repairs, window glass installation and replacement. The company tells Angi and HomeAdvisor it has been at this for 12 years. BuildZoom has 11 building permits recorded under Richard J Morgan, several of them in Cambridge. Showing up when he said he would is what customers wrote about. A July 2019 review listed a storm door replaced and repaired and a broken window sash among a laundry list of jobs, and made a point of saying he arrived on time to quote it and the crew arrived on time to do it. A November 2018 customer was fighting a scrambled IKEA delivery and an electrician who never turned up, and credited Morgan with working around both. Another that autumn wrote four words: reliable, clean, great product. Not every customer came away that way. Of the 43 ratings on the profile, 79 percent are five stars and 7 percent are one, and both Angi and HomeAdvisor describe a few pricing complaints plus one very negative rating that drew a contentious reply from the business. Those 43 ratings are the same 43 on both sites, so it is one set of customers shown on two pages. On licences, what exists here is what the directories print. BuildZoom lists a Massachusetts home improvement contractor registration, #186308, and a construction supervisor licence, #CS-101917, both shown as active; Angi and HomeAdvisor each describe him as a licensed Massachusetts general contractor. Those are the directories' entries, not a check against the state registry. Morgan suits the punch-list day — a storm door that needs replacing, a cracked sash, the repair in the shop that nobody else could finish. Get the price in writing before the work starts, since that is where the unhappy customers land, and ask him for the licence numbers so you can look them up yourself.
Richard was great to work with. He showed up on time the day he came to give us an estimate. And then he and his crew showed up right on time to do the work as scheduled. It was a laundry list of things to do - storm door replacement and repair, replacing a broken sash on a window, fixing a splintered door frame, planing doors that stuck, fixing doors that were loose, etc. It's an old house so standard things don't always fit and Richard figured it how to make it looks nice and fit without making it ridiculously expensive. We'll hire him again to do more work for us.
Great and professional service, the team came within a very short notice. They were able to fix an urgent problem in our bakery that others tried with no success. Richard knows his job, and really helped us.
An efficient but detailed installer whose natural dialog and flexibility easily permitted arrival at mutually beneficial solutions concerning supplier parts issues (IKEA delivery was whacko) and unexpected issues (electrical support of ours did not arrive) or unplanned event interruptions (our family issues) to still meet the real deadlines.
Reliable, clean, great product.
Richard showed up on time and did quality work. His crew was customer focused and wanted to do a good kob
