Hire Richmond's Home and there's a fair chance Gerardo turns up himself — reviewers name him on jobs from a storm door that needed fixing to a pipe leaking into a ceiling. The work is the small-repair spectrum: an exhaust fan, siding, a front porch swapped from wood to Trex at what the customer called a reasonable price. Its Angi profile describes a Boston-based handyman company led by Gerardo, legally started in October 2022 and veteran-owned; HomeAdvisor's Stoneham listing says the company has been in business since 2023 and offers free estimates and emergency service. Several reviewers mention the same two things: the crew came when it said it would, and left the place clean. A homeowner who had an exhaust fan replaced in April 2026 wrote that Gerardo and his coworker arrived exactly when they said they would and explained everything that needed doing. In a March 2026 review, a window leak that needed work inside and out went to Alex and Gerardo, who the customer said came prepared and finished in a timely manner. They take on the scattered multi-trade list, too. A February 2026 reviewer facing an insurer's no-notice demand — vegetation off a garage roof, cracks in the cement steps, a baluster replaced — called the crew fast. In a November 2025 review, a homeowner with water stains on the ceiling described Gerardo finding the leaking pipe, replacing it, then fixing and repainting the ceiling, three days start to finish. An April 2025 job covered wall painting, new floors, molding on the steps, baseboards and a ceiling outlet for a TV; a November 2024 customer had 90-plus wooden window sills and frames repaired around a condo building. The one sour note is recent. A May 2026 customer said that after the repair job was inspected, the promised quote and schedule never arrived, and more than 10 calls and emails got no answer; Angi's profile carries that complaint as unresolved, against a 97% five-star distribution over 31 ratings. Two smaller things to raise: an April 2026 exhaust-fan job came in above the estimate, which that customer put down to an unforeseen issue, and a September 2025 reviewer was irritated that the company doesn't take Venmo and paid by Zelle instead. For a punch list — fans, doors, windows, siding, paint, a bit of plumbing and electrical — this is a straightforward call; one December 2025 customer got an estimate by text and had the job done the same day. Get the quote and the start date in writing before work begins, and ask up front how they handle a job that opens up something unforeseen.
