Rinaldi Energy delivers heating fuel and holds 4.9 stars across 690 Google ratings. On its website the company calls itself old-school and says it believes in taking care of its community when it comes to delivering heating fuel and service. One recent Google reviewer praised its emergency same-day delivery and said it had gained a new customer. A recent customer who prefers email said Rinaldi communicates well that way and is kind and professional. Its BBB page is an A+. A recent customer warned about the pricing on a heating oil auto-delivery plan: Rinaldi quoted what sounded like a reasonable price, then added downside protection insurance at an extra charge after implying it was included, and would not let them decline it. That customer also said the first delivery was left out of the contract amount, adding to the total gallons, and that the service company Rinaldi referred them to never called back.

Beware of deceptive pricing for heating oil auto-delivery - Rinaldi told me what sounded like a reasonable price per gallon, then snuck in downside protection insurance at an extra $0.50/gal after implying it was included. Wouldn't let me decline downside protection when I asked. They also added to the total gallons I would have been signing up for by not including the first delivery in the contract amount. This was all after I never got a call back from the service company they referred me to. Save yourself money and time by looking elsewhere - I almost paid $0.60 per gallon more through Rinaldi (forced downside protection + higher price per gallon on the budget plan) than what I got from the next company I called!
I have had a really good experience working with Rinaldi. They communicate well using email - my preferred method of communication. They are always kind and professional as well.
