Roberts Roofing and Construction

Roberts Roofing and Construction is a Plympton-based roofing and construction contractor that says it's been in business since 1980, under owner Robert Littman, a sole proprietorship running with about seven employees. Its written record runs back to 2019 across Google and Angi, and it holds an A+ rating (not accredited) with the Better Business Bureau and an 'Approved' badge and 4.6-star rating on Angi. The strongest, most specific thread across the years is speed on active leaks: in a 2024 review, a customer described Robert assessing storm damage one day and repairing it the next at a fair, honest price; a 2020 customer said the same — quick response, next-day repair, no upselling. In a 2026 review, a customer who'd gotten two other estimates said Robert fixed a roof leak for significantly less, crediting his more than 50 years in the trade. The record isn't spotless, though. In a 2021 Google review, a customer described being quoted $250 for a roof tighten-up, then charged $350 after the fact with no clear explanation for the difference — and the roof kept leaking afterward, leading them to call another company. Separately, in a 2020 Angi review, a customer said a job was never finished and follow-up calls went unanswered. Both stand out against a longer run of otherwise positive, if often brief, reviews. No state-registry-verified license shows up here; Angi lists a self-reported Massachusetts trade license number that Angi itself hasn't independently verified, so it's worth confirming current licensing directly before hiring. For a straightforward, fast roof-leak repair, Roberts Roofing has a long run of satisfied customers behind it — but given the two more serious complaints on file, it's worth getting a clear, itemized quote in writing before work starts, and following up promptly if anything is left unfinished.
