Rodenhiser is a long-running, family-owned Massachusetts home-services company offering plumbing, heating, cooling, electrical work, and remodeling. Its website says the company was founded in 1928 and is led by fourth-generation owner Andy Rodenhiser; profiles place it in Holliston and list service across the Route 495/128 area. Customers describe both fast emergency response and serious billing or workmanship concerns. Recent reviews praise a 2026 shower remodel, while older accounts describe same-day pipe repair, emergency furnace response within an hour, and water-heater replacement before Monday. A 2023 review reports an AC installation over $11,000 that soon failed, and BBB-hosted complaints allege duplicate maintenance-plan charges, a $537 coolant quote, and a quoted price that differed from the invoice. Rodenhiser advertises free estimates and emergency services, and Houzz lists NATE and EPA Lead Safe credentials. Its website lists Master Plumber license MPL#10961 as a self-reported number, while Houzz lists the same number; verify current licensing and get every price, service-plan charge, and warranty term in writing. The company may fit homeowners who need broad plumbing, HVAC, electrical, or remodeling coverage, especially urgent service. Before booking, compare the written estimate with the invoice terms and ask how failed-installation claims are handled.
They were excellent, the 5 stars say it all.
CROOKS! Do not hire Rodenhiser. They recently installed an AC system in our house for over $11,000, which soon completely failed. They came out & said the wiring had a bad chemical reaction between the copper & the insulation, causing countless pinhole leaks which had caused the refrigerant to leak out.
When they explained what they wanted to do and what it was going to cost for the replacement parts... I feel they tried to take advantage of me as I was a women.
My water heater started leaking on the weekend. They replaced the water heater in time to get hot water for those who needed to shower and get to work on Monday morning.
Very expensive for the easy job they were hired to do.
