Roto-Rooter Plumbing & Water Cleanup is a plumbing business whose website lists emergency plumbing, water heaters, leaks, garbage disposals, toilets, sinks, sump pumps, excavation and pipes, and names a service area running from Marlborough to Worcester, Framingham, Springfield and Beverly. It states 24/7 emergency service and 91 years in business. Its MA plumber license 2604-PL-C, held by G.W. Chapman Inc Dba Roto Rooter Inc, is expired on the state registry. A recent customer says Roto-Rooter arrived within two hours when their kitchen drain clogged over Labor Day weekend and fixed the problem in less than an hour, though the $600 price seemed quite high to them. Another recent customer says Jamie and Mike handled a sump pump install and pipe snaking and stayed until everything was working. A recent review says David ran video of a French drain pipe, found it clear, and did not charge because no service was needed. Another recent customer says a main-line clog noticed around 3:30PM was under control by 5:30. In a 2022 review, a customer said Dennis did the jetting and the camera on their sewer line, and the camera found a belly in the line right before the mainhole that needed to be repaired. A recent customer says they were charged $1,100 for a clog that required taking the toilet off, then quoted another $720 when the clog moved to the shower. Another recent customer says they were quoted $721 to snake a clogged sink and got it down to $500. A recent review says a visit of less than half an hour was charged $681.
Same day service. Continual communication. Our service tech, Ari, was a pleasure. Knowledgeable, efficient & tidy.
Had shower blockage. I tried everything. Called they came over, Magic!!!!! Huge ball of hair . Awesome job by Adriana!! (Ari)
Was at my house within an hour of the call and completed the job in an hour and a half. Great job
Excellent customer service and technical support. However, the technician was initially very friendly but became somewhat grumpy after a phone call to the office (not sure if call and attitude are related) Also, both technician and camera scanner supervisor did not bring a shovel! Seem odd since one is most often used .
Our kitchen drain clogged over Labor Day weekend, and the water was completely stagnant. Drain cleaner and a Home Depot snake didn’t work, and no local plumbers returned my calls on Sunday. Roto-Rooter arrived within two hours and fixed the problem in less than an hour. The technician was prompt, professional, and provided good service. My only concern was the $600 price, which seemed quite high for the job. Still, I appreciated their quick response and getting our kitchen drain working again during a holiday weekend.
