RVM Landscaping & Snow Removal is a Billerica outfit built around one person, Ruben, who still shows up himself — reviewers across Google, Angi and HomeAdvisor keep naming him for arriving fast and doing the work personally. The company's own site says Ruben started informally in Lowell with a push mower and a snow blower, then officially launched the business in June 2016. A January 2026 review describes him arriving just before dark during a two-day snowstorm, navigating a narrow circular driveway and a tight curve without damaging shrub beds, and charging less than competitors who demand an upfront "snow insurance policy." That kind of specific, hands-on account repeats through the record: a 2021 review describes his crew regrading a backyard around a hidden oak stump in two days, and a 2020 review describes him trimming 12 to 15 overgrown hedges the day after being called, leaving the property looking, in the customer's words, "like a new house." The written record runs from 2020 through 2026, 12 reviews spread across Google, Angi and HomeAdvisor. Recent activity is light but clean — three reviews in the last six months, none negative — while the deeper history holds two complaints worth knowing about: a 2022 Google review describes a leaf-pickup job where the price went up after the work was already agreed to, and a 2021 HomeAdvisor review describes a similar pricing disagreement along with weeding the customer felt was left unfinished. Worth asking about before booking: get the price in writing up front, since both complaints center on a quote changing after the fact. It's also worth knowing the company's stated tenure isn't consistent — its own site puts it at about ten years, while its Angi and HomeAdvisor profiles both say 16 years of experience. For a homeowner who needs a driveway cleared in a storm, a yard dug out of years of overgrowth, or hedges cut back on short notice, this is the kind of call RVM's record is built on. Just nail down the estimate before the crew shows up.
Rvm gave a quick response to the request for a quote and completed the work immediately.
RVM Lanscaping did an excellent job cleaning up my very overgrown yard. Their team of two cleared out all the bittersweet and thickets of blackberry bushes and other weeds, took away a mounainous trailerload of brush, and blew 5 years’ worth of leaves downhill into the woods in exactly the area I requested. They were responsive, cheerful, hardworking, and very thorough, and did it all for a reasonable price. The yard looks great now. I will definitely hire them again.
Excellent workers. Always ready to help me and go the extra mile. Professional, polite and very competent.
My neighbor's young teen has been snow shoveling my narrow circular drive, but the 2 day snow storm was too much. I called RVM and was put on the list. Ruben arrived just before dark, managed rush hour traffic on my through street, the huge pile of snow over the street edge of the drive, managed the tight curve without plowing over my shrub beds and made sure he knew exactly what I needed done. He was polite and charged a reasonable amount - less than the firms who demand an upfront "snow insurance policy". I'm grateful and will look to give him some of my landscaping business.
Ruben is a very hard worker and absolutely crushed this job. We had 30 year old bushes, dirt, old mulch and leaves and now it looks like this! Amazing 👏He runs around like he is 4 men and super polite! ❤️ DDKing approved!
