What it gets called for sits at the repair end of the trade: drywall and water-damage work first, then siding, windows, roofing and the occasional kitchen or bath. The permit history is the most concrete thing about them. Small-to-middling residential repair work, done steadily rather than in volume. Its BuildZoom score of zero is worth ignoring as a measure of the work — that number is calculated from licence status, not from anything a customer said. The reviews tell a warmer story, with a catch. Angi rates them 4.6 from 20 ratings, 85 percent of them five stars. But HomeAdvisor's 4.6 from 20 is the same twenty reviews on a mirrored page rather than a second opinion, and the written history stops in mid-2023. Nothing has been posted on either site in three years, so read that 4.6 as how they worked then, not how they work now. Their own listed range is wider than the permits suggest: attic and basement finishing, interior and exterior painting, rot repair, popcorn-ceiling removal, plus commercial snow removal, bobcat work, lawn installation and irrigation. The thing to settle before calling is the registration. BuildZoom lists licence number 188348 as inactive, says the status was at one point cancelled, and separately describes it as a handyman licence that expired on 24 January 2026 and was still expired when the site checked that March. Those are the directory's statements, not a confirmation from the state — and BuildZoom labels the same number two different ways, once as a handyman licence and once as a home improvement contractor registration. Massachusetts exempts some single-trade work from HIC registration, but this company's own list runs to kitchens, bathrooms and finished basements, which it does not. One more oddity worth naming: both directory profiles put the business at a Lunenburg address, roughly fifty miles from the Methuen base its permits and phone number point to. For drywall, water-damage and general repair work around the Merrimack Valley, a small owner-run outfit with a real permit trail is a reasonable call. Confirm the registration status yourself with the Office of Consumer Affairs and Business Regulation, and get the scope in writing before work starts.
