Saba Construction is Phu Truong, working out of Quincy with one other person, and the jobs people hire him for are the ones that pile up on a list: a porch post, baseboards, flood lights, a washer-dryer hookup. Thumbtack shows 4.8 across 51 ratings and 63 hires over what it records as nine years in business. The reviews that can be read are consistent about two things — he turns up, and he finishes. A customer in March 2026 had a gas washer and dryer installed and called him quick and responsive. In July 2025 someone had an 8-foot porch post replaced along with a few minor items, and said he came prepared and knew what to do. A 2023 customer laying baseboards in a living room ran out of material mid-job and watched him drive to Home Depot for more rather than reschedule. And in 2021, someone who had spent months chasing unresponsive carpenters wrote that Phu looked at the work, quoted a reasonable price, and did it in a day. That is the through-line worth paying for on a small job: he answers. It also frames what this is — handyman and carpentry work rather than a remodeling firm. His own profile claims specialties in electrical, plumbing, decking, siding and kitchen and bath remodeling, but what customers describe is trim, small structural repairs, fixtures and appliance hookups. A 2019 reviewer did have him install flood lights and swap an outdoor outlet. One platform is the whole picture here. Thumbtack is the only place he is reviewed, only five of the 51 review bodies can be read, and the site prints no per-review stars, so the 4.8 headline and a 96% five-star / 4% one-star split are the only figures behind the number. His Top Pro badge and his background check both date to 2021, and the profile currently shows him unavailable for appliance installation. The right call for a punch list, trim work, or the small repair a bigger outfit will not schedule. For anything that needs a licence — panel work, gas, a bathroom taken back to studs — ask which licence covers it and get the number before he starts.

Amazing job was done by Phu. He arrived on time and did a fantastic job installing my flood lights, replacing an outside outlet and couple other things. He is fast, efficient and excellent at what he does ... I would hire him again for sure. In fact I already asked him for a quote for the next project that I am evaluating now. Details: Less than 2 hours (Simple tasks) • Installation • Electrical • Home. Handyman

Typical Greater Boston range for this kind of work, from regional averages — not a quote from Saba Construction. Use it to sanity-check bids, then get the real number in writing.
A day rate replaces the task list — usually the better deal once the list gets long.
