Savage and Sons is a heating and heat pump service business whose website lists Skowhegan, Norridgewock, Madison, Anson, Fairfield, Waterville, Winslow, Oakland, Canaan and Cornville as its service area, and Brett is the technician customers deal with. It holds a 4.7-star Google rating from 10 ratings. One customer says Brett showed up on his day off to get their heat pump going in 90 degree temps. A customer who booked a furnace cleaning says he showed up on time and was reasonably priced. A customer says Brett helped them over the phone until he could get to the house. A landlord gives a 2-star account: Brett kept replacing parts on the heating system, including the thermostat on the water heater, and the tenants went without hot water for quite some time while he tried to troubleshoot. That customer says another service provider traced the problem to the same thermostat Brett had replaced, and that Brett refused a refund of the labor on that thermostat.
Great service very professional with his work.
I had a great first impression of Brett, however the impression deteriorated when he kept replacing parts on the heating system, including the thermostat on the water heater. Unfortunately, after this, my tenants did not have hot water for quite some time as Brett was trying to troubleshoot and not resolving the issue. Brett kept recommending the hot water tank needed to be replaced. This didn't make sense to me, so I called another (larger) service provider and they narrowed down the issue to the same thermostat Brett had replaced on the hot water heater. They replaced it (again) and it's now working fine - the way it was before Brett replaced it. I gave him the benefit of the doubt and asked for a refund of the labor on the water heater thermostat only (I paid for other labor on the other parts that were replaced and didn't ask for that to be refunded). He refused. Hence I will be unable to work with him again in the future.
Super knowledgeable, quick response time, and thorough in his work. Helped me over the phone until he could get to my house. Would 100% recommend. Very affordable as well
Brett was really quick to respond and was able to get us on his schedule the day after I gave him a call. Super efficient and affordable.
Showed up on time, kind and reasonably priced for a furnace cleaning. Will be using in the future!
